Summary

This 2022 Porsche Cayenne GTS offers a powerful 4.0L V8 experience with mileage that aligns with typical high-distance GCC highway use over four years. Finished in Grey, a neutral and resilient shade for the regional market, this GTS trim stands out for its driver-focused chassis and standard sport exhaust that provides a visceral V8 soundtrack. It bridges the gap between the luxury-oriented Cayenne S and the range-topping Turbo, delivering near-supercar performance in a practical SUV body. For the GCC owner, the robust cooling systems and high-speed stability make it an ideal companion for cross-emirate travel or weekend family trips.

This Car vs Other 2022 Cayenne GTSs

With 80,755 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven approximately 20,000 km per year, which is remarkably standard for the GCC market where long-range commuting is common. While lower-mileage examples exist, this GTS has reached a point in its life cycle where the initial heavy depreciation of a high-end European SUV has already occurred, offering better value for the next owner. The Grey exterior is a highly sensible choice for the region, resisting the visible effects of dust and heat while maintaining strong resale appeal.

GTS vs Lower Trims

The GTS trim is a significant step up from the Cayenne S, replacing the V6 with a more characterful 4.0L twin-turbo V8. It adds essential performance hardware as standard, including a 20mm lower ride height, the Sport Design package, and a standard sport exhaust system with unique black tailpipes. Inside, the GTS typically features Alcantara accents and more aggressive sport seats that provide superior lateral support during spirited driving on winding regional roads.

Cayenne vs Segment Rivals

The Cayenne GTS leads its class in pure driving dynamics, offering a more connected feel than the BMW X5 M50i or the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53. Its 90-litre fuel tank is a major advantage for long-distance GCC drives, providing a significant cruising range that outclasses many high-performance rivals. Furthermore, the Porsche's build quality is specifically engineered to handle the thermal stress of high-speed desert highway runs without the interior rattles common in some competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the twin-turbo V8 typically averages around 12.2 L/100km, though stop-start traffic in cities like Dubai or Riyadh will see this rise. Porsche has an extensive authorized service network across all major GCC cities, ensuring parts and expert maintenance are always accessible. While European luxury SUVs generally depreciate by 12–15% annually in this market, the GTS trim is historically the most resilient in the Cayenne lineup, often retaining a premium over standard trims due to its enthusiast appeal.

Performance & Capability

With 453 horsepower and 620 Nm of torque, this SUV launches from 0–100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on 140 km/h highways. The standard Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) is tuned specifically for the GTS to be firmer and more responsive, though it remains composed over uneven surfaces. While road-biased, the all-wheel-drive system and adjustable ride height allow for light trail exploration or handling sandy patches during weekend getaways.

Comfort & Cabin

This specific configuration features a 4-seat layout, providing a first-class experience for all passengers with individual rear seating that emphasizes luxury and shoulder room. The cabin is exceptionally well-insulated against the intense GCC summer heat, supported by a powerful multi-zone climate control system with dedicated rear vents. The 12.4-inch touchscreen offers seamless integration for navigation and media, ensuring comfort even on the longest drives between the Emirates.

Safety

This GTS is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including forward collision mitigation and front and rear parking sensors to assist in tight city spaces. The Porsche Stability Management system is finely tuned to handle high-speed maneuvers on gravel or sand-dusted asphalt, while the standard LED headlights provide excellent visibility for night driving on unlit desert roads. The car also features a robust airbag system and high-strength steel construction for maximum passenger protection.

The bottom line

This Cayenne GTS is the perfect match for a driver who wants the soul of a Porsche sports car with the utility of a four-seat SUV, offered here in a market-ready specification that balances performance and regional resale strength.
