Summary

This 2022 Porsche Cayenne GTS is a driver-focused standout in the GCC market, offering the perfect balance between daily luxury and track-bred performance. With its black-on-black aesthetic, this example holds strong resale appeal in the region while staying well within its expected lifecycle for a four-year-old vehicle. The GTS trim is highly coveted in the UAE for its standard performance hardware, including adaptive air suspension and a sport exhaust that provides a visceral V8 soundtrack. For the serious buyer, this GCC-spec model ensures reliable cooling and a comprehensive service network across the Emirates. It represents a significant step up in character and presence compared to the standard V6 models often found in city traffic.

This Car vs Other 2022 Cayennes

With 64,987 km on the odometer, this Cayenne GTS sits at an average mileage for a four-year-old vehicle in the GCC, where 15,000–20,000 km per year is standard. The black exterior is among the most desirable colors for resale in the local market, ensuring it remains a liquid asset. Being a GCC-spec model, it bypasses the warranty and service complications often associated with imported North American or European equivalents.

GTS vs Lower Trims

The GTS trim replaces the 2.9L V6 of the Cayenne S with a 4.0L twin-turbo V8, delivering a significant jump in torque and character. It adds standard high-value features for GCC drivers, including 21-inch RS Spyder Design wheels, the Sport Design package, and a 10mm lower ride height with GTS-specific air suspension. Inside, you receive 8-way GTS Sport seats and the Sport Chrono Package as standard, which are often expensive options on lower tiers.

Cayenne vs Segment Rivals

The Cayenne GTS is often cross-shopped against the BMW X5 M50i and the Range Rover Sport, but it leads the segment with its superior 8-speed Tiptronic S gearbox and sports-car-derived handling precision. Its 90-litre fuel tank provides a longer cruising range for cross-emirate trips compared to several rivals. Porsche's build quality and chassis tuning offer a more connected feel on the road than the luxury-focused Range Rover or the softer Mercedes-Benz GLE.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the V8 powertrain typically averages around 13.5 L/100km in mixed GCC driving, though highway cruising can be surprisingly efficient for a performance SUV. Service intervals are generally every 15,000 km or 12 months, with a robust network of authorized Porsche Centers in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and across the GCC. The GTS trim maintains one of the highest value retention rates in the Porsche SUV lineup due to its enthusiast-favored mechanical specifications.

Performance & Capability

The GTS delivers an impressive 0-100 km/h time of 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 270 km/h, making it a formidable highway overtaker. The standard Porsche Traction Management (PTM) and four-wheel drive ensure maximum stability during heavy summer rains or on sandy coastal roads. With 620 Nm of torque available from low revs, it also offers a substantial 3,500 kg braked towing capacity for those moving marine equipment or trailers.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin features a driver-centric layout with five seats, standard leather and Alcantara upholstery, and the high-resolution 12.4-inch Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system. Standard multi-zone climate control is engineered to handle 45°C+ summer heat, ensuring the entire cabin remains cool. The Bose Surround Sound system and extensive sound insulation provide a refined environment for long-distance desert highway drives.

Safety

This GTS comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Porsche Stability Management (PSM), forward collision mitigation with emergency braking, and front and rear parking sensors with a reversing camera. The standard LED headlights provide excellent visibility for night driving on unlit desert roads. Its high-performance braking system, featuring 6-piston front calipers, ensures stopping power that matches its V8 acceleration.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec Cayenne GTS is the ideal choice for an enthusiast seeking V8 soul and Porsche's legendary handling without the depreciation curve of a brand-new car. It is a well-maintained, high-spec opportunity that is perfectly suited for the UAE's lifestyle and climate.
