Summary

This 2022 Porsche Macan represents a sharp opportunity to own the updated facelift model with exceptionally low mileage, having covered less than 14,000 km in the GCC. Finished in a high-resale Grey, this specific unit avoids the heavy early depreciation typically seen in the luxury segment while offering the improved 265 hp engine output introduced for this model year. The Macan remains the definitive choice for those who want a sports car driving experience in an SUV body, outhandling almost everything in its class. For the GCC buyer, the combination of a low-mileage 4-cylinder powertrain and Porsche's renowned build quality makes this a highly rational yet emotive purchase.

This Car vs Other 2022 Macans

With just 13,851 km on the odometer, this Macan has covered significantly less ground than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen in the GCC market. While many 2022 models are now approaching their first major service milestones, this unit remains in its mechanical youth. The exterior Grey is a top-tier resale color in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring it stays desirable when you eventually decide to upgrade.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The 'Standard' Macan for 2022 received a significant power bump to 265 hp, narrowing the gap to the previous S model while maintaining better efficiency. This trim includes the updated center console with haptic touch surfaces and the larger 10.9-inch Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system as standard. It also features the Porsche Traction Management (PTM) active all-wheel-drive system, which provides superior grip on both dusty coastal roads and during rare heavy rain events.

Macan vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the BMW X3 and Audi Q5 offer similar dimensions, the Macan leads the segment in chassis poise and steering precision, feeling much smaller and more agile than its footprint suggests. Its 75-litre fuel tank is larger than many competitors, providing a much longer cruising range for cross-emirate trips between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The Porsche PDK transmission remains the gold standard for shift speed and smoothness compared to the traditional torque converters found in most rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.0L turbo engine averages around 10.1 L/100km, offering a more economical daily commute in stop-start city traffic compared to the V6 variants. Porsche maintains a vast and highly professional authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring long-term maintenance is straightforward. The Macan holds its value better than almost any other European luxury SUV in the GCC, with well-maintained, low-mileage examples like this one seeing roughly 12-15% annual depreciation.

Performance & Capability

Equipped with the 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission, this Macan delivers a 0–100 km/h sprint of 6.4 seconds and a top speed of 232 km/h. The active all-wheel-drive system is tuned for a rear-biased feel, preserving the brand's sports car DNA even in an SUV format. With approximately 202 mm of ground clearance, it is perfectly suited for navigating gravel tracks to weekend desert retreats or clearing high curbs in urban environments.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior features 8-way power-adjustable comfort seats and a three-zone automatic climate control system designed to handle extreme 45°C+ summer heat with ease. The 488-litre boot is deep and well-shaped, expanding to 1,503 litres with the 40/20/40 split-folding rear seats down to accommodate large shopping hauls or sports gear. Cabin insulation is class-leading, providing a quiet sanctuary from the high-speed wind noise common on long GCC highway stretches.

Safety

Standard safety tech includes Porsche’s ParkAssist with front and rear sensors, Lane Departure Warning, and forward collision mitigation. The Macan features a robust multi-stage airbag system and sophisticated Porsche Stability Management (PSM), which is essential for maintaining control on sandy or oil-slicked road surfaces. These active systems work together to provide a secure environment during the fast-paced driving conditions typical of major GCC highways.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for a professional looking for a low-mileage, GCC-spec Porsche that balances daily efficiency with genuine sports car performance.
