Summary

This 2022 RAM 1500 Limited is a standout in the GCC market, offering the prestige of the top-tier trim with the sought-after 5.7L HEMI V8 engine. With just 36,000 km, it sits well below the typical 50,000–60,000 km expected for a two-year-old vehicle in the region, ensuring significant remaining life in its major components. The White exterior is widely considered the strongest resale color in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, providing excellent heat reflection and long-term value retention. This model bridges the gap between a rugged workhorse and a true luxury vehicle, making it a versatile choice for both executive commuting and weekend desert towing. For a GCC buyer, the combination of low mileage, regional spec, and the high-spec Limited interior makes this one of the most compelling pickups currently available.

This Car vs Other 2022 RAM 1500s

At 36,000 km, this RAM 1500 has been driven significantly less than the 20,000–25,000 km annual average common in the GCC. The White paint is the most practical choice for the local climate, showing less wear from sun exposure and holding a higher resale value than darker tones. While many 2022 models on the market are American imports with varying histories, this is a genuine GCC spec vehicle, ensuring full compatibility with local service centers and cooling requirements.

LIMITED vs Lower Trims

The Limited trim is the pinnacle of the RAM 1500 range, adding significant luxury over the Laramie and Rebel. It introduces premium Natura Plus leather upholstery and genuine wood interior accents that elevate the cabin to executive levels. Most importantly for the GCC, it includes the massive 12-inch portrait touchscreen and a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system as standard, features that are often optional or smaller on lower-tier models.

RAM 1500 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Ford F-150 and Chevrolet Silverado, the RAM 1500 Limited leads with a superior coil-spring or optional air suspension setup that provides a much smoother ride on long highway stretches like the E11. Its 125-litre fuel tank offers a greater cruising range than many rivals, which is a major advantage for cross-border drives or long trips into the desert. The interior refinement is widely regarded as the best in class, often compared to luxury SUVs rather than traditional pickups.

Running Costs & Resale

The 5.7L HEMI V8 is a robust engine designed for longevity, typically requiring service every 12,000 km in the GCC. Real-world fuel consumption averages around 13.1 L/100km, though this varies during heavy towing or in stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Parts availability is excellent across the UAE and Saudi Arabia through authorized distributors like Al-Futtaim. As the flagship trim in a popular color, this vehicle typically retains roughly 80-85% of its value after three years in the GCC market.

Performance & Capability

Powered by the legendary 5.7L HEMI V8 producing 395 hp and 556 Nm of torque, this truck offers effortless overtaking power on high-speed highways. It is rated for a massive 5,266 kg braked towing capacity, easily handling large boats or dune buggy trailers for weekend trips to Liwa. The 8-speed automatic transmission is tuned for smooth shifts, ensuring the truck remains composed whether it is cruising at 140 km/h or navigating gravel tracks.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is engineered for extreme GCC summers, featuring a high-output air conditioning system and standard ventilated front seats to keep occupants cool. The Crew Cab configuration offers class-leading rear legroom, ensuring three adults can sit comfortably in the back for long-distance travel. Acoustic glass and active noise cancellation technology keep the interior exceptionally quiet, shielding passengers from road noise and desert winds.

Safety

This Limited trim comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path and Trailer Detection, which is essential for safely navigating multi-lane GCC highways. Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking provide peace of mind during long desert drives. The 360-degree camera system makes parking this large vehicle in urban areas significantly easier and safer.

The bottom line

This is the ideal opportunity for a buyer seeking a top-spec, low-mileage luxury pickup that is mechanically perfectly suited for the GCC climate and terrain. It offers the best resale profile in its class thanks to the Limited trim, V8 engine, and popular White exterior.
