Summary

This GCC-spec 2022 RAM 1500 Classic offers the enduring appeal of the legendary HEMI V8 powertrain paired with a robust 4x4 system, making it a staple for both work and desert weekend use in the region. At four years old with 84,568 km, the mileage is well within the typical annual range for a full-size pickup in the GCC, where highway-heavy driving is the norm. The crisp white exterior is the most sought-after color in the local used market, ensuring significantly better resale prospects and heat reflection compared to darker tones. While newer generations exist, the Classic trim remains a favorite for its straightforward mechanical reliability and lower long-term maintenance costs. For a buyer seeking a proven American workhorse that balances heavy-duty capability with everyday GCC highway comfort, this is a highly practical choice.

This Car vs Other 2022 RAM 1500s

With 84,568 km on the odometer, this truck has averaged just over 21,000 km per year, which is perfectly aligned with the GCC average of 20,000–25,000 km. In a market where many pickups are used for heavy commercial hauling, this unit's mileage suggests a balanced mix of private and highway use. The white exterior is a strategic advantage for local buyers, commanding a premium at resale due to its high demand in the UAE and Saudi markets.

CLASSIC vs Lower Trims

The Classic trim provides a focused equipment list that prioritizes durability, featuring heavy-duty suspension and the high-output 5.7L V8 that outperforms the base V6 found in lower work-trims. It retains the iconic fourth-generation body style, which many GCC owners prefer for its easier parts availability and simpler electronic architecture compared to the complex systems of the newer DT generation. This specific trim includes essential 4x4 hardware and a heavy-duty cooling system vital for maintaining performance during peak summer temperatures.

RAM 1500 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Ford F-150 and Chevrolet Silverado, the RAM 1500 Classic is often cited for its superior ride quality thanks to its multi-link coil spring rear suspension, which handles the uneven surfaces of desert tracks more smoothly than traditional leaf springs. The HEMI V8 delivers a distinctive torque curve that is particularly effective for towing across long highway stretches. While rivals may offer more complex tech, the RAM's cabin ergonomics and physical controls are better suited for use with work gloves or during off-road excursions.

Running Costs & Resale

The 5.7L V8 delivers approximately 14–16 L/100km in typical GCC city traffic and improves to 11–13 L/100km during steady highway cruising between emirates. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from a wide network of authorized service centers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, with parts readily available in every major industrial area. The RAM 1500 Classic maintains a stable depreciation curve, typically retaining around 70-75% of its value after three years in the local market, supported by the high demand for its V8 powertrain.

Performance & Capability

Generating 395 hp and 556 Nm of torque, the HEMI engine provides confident overtaking power on fast-moving UAE highways even when fully loaded. The Four Wheel Drive system features a dedicated low-range transfer case, allowing it to navigate soft sand and coastal terrain that would stop a standard crossover. With a maximum braked towing capacity of 4,817 kg, it is fully equipped for hauling large boats or trailers, supported by integrated trailer sway control and a high-strength steel frame.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for long-distance comfort, featuring a 5-seat layout with ample shoulder room and deep storage bins for tools or road-trip essentials. The air conditioning system is specifically tuned for the GCC climate, providing rapid cooling even after the truck has been parked in direct sun. Heavy-duty interior materials are used throughout to withstand the abrasive dust and sand common in the region, while the acoustic glass helps isolate the cabin from wind noise at highway speeds.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes Electronic Stability Control with specialized Ready Alert Braking and Rain Brake Support, which are highly effective during the region's occasional heavy dust storms or flash rains. The truck is fitted with a comprehensive airbag system and a high-strength steel frame for crash protection. For highway safety, it features trailer-sway damping and Hill Start Assist, ensuring the vehicle remains composed when starting on inclines or navigating heavy traffic while towing.

The bottom line

This RAM 1500 Classic is the ideal match for a GCC buyer who needs the raw power of a V8 and 4x4 capability without the high price tag of the newer generations. Its excellent color choice and standard GCC specifications make it a secure investment for both current utility and future resale.
