Summary

This 2023 Cadillac Escalade V-Series represents the peak of American performance SUVs, offering the rare combination of a hand-built supercharged V8 and the highest level of Cadillac luxury. In the GCC market, the black-on-black configuration is highly coveted, ensuring strong resale value and a commanding presence on the road. The V-Series trim is significantly more exclusive than the standard Escalade, featuring performance-tuned suspension and braking hardware not found on lower models. With just over 90,000 km, this vehicle has been driven consistently across the region's highways, where its 682 hp engine is perfectly suited for long-distance cruising. For the GCC buyer, this is the definitive choice for those who require seven-seat practicality without sacrificing supercar-rivaling acceleration.

This Car vs Other 2023 Escalades

At 90,379 km, this Escalade reflects typical high-mileage highway use common in the GCC, where long-distance commutes between emirates are standard. While higher than average global figures, this mileage is consistent for a daily-driven executive SUV in this region. The black exterior is a primary resale driver in the UAE and Saudi markets, often commanding a premium over less traditional colors.

V SERIES vs Lower Trims

The V-Series is a total mechanical departure from the Sport or Premium Luxury trims, replacing the standard 420 hp engine with a 682 hp supercharged unit. It adds exclusive performance hardware including 6-piston Brembo front brakes, V-Mode driving settings, and a quad-exit active exhaust system. Inside, it features the full 36-speaker AKG audio suite and semi-aniline leather, features that are often optional on lower trims.

Escalade vs Segment Rivals

The Escalade V-Series leads its segment in raw power, outmuscling rivals like the Lincoln Navigator and Lexus LX600 by over 200 horsepower. Its 38-inch curved OLED display remains the most advanced interface in the full-size SUV class, providing superior clarity in the bright GCC sun. For long desert highway trips, its massive cabin volume and superior legroom in all three rows give it a distinct advantage for large families.

Running Costs & Resale

The supercharged V8 averages approximately 18.6 L/100km in combined driving, reflecting its high-performance nature. Authorized service centers are widely available across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with recommended service intervals every 12,000 to 15,000 km. As the flagship performance model, the V-Series retains a higher percentage of its value compared to base Luxury trims due to its limited production and high desirability among enthusiasts.

Performance & Capability

The Escalade-V delivers a verified 0-100 km/h time of just 4.4 seconds, an astonishing feat for a vehicle of its size. The standard Air Ride Adaptive Suspension and Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 are specifically tuned to handle the V's power, providing a flat, composed ride even during high-speed highway overtaking. With 885 Nm of torque, it offers effortless pulling power, making it as capable at towing as it is at sprinting.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is a sanctuary from the GCC heat, featuring a high-capacity tri-zone climate control system and ventilated front seats with massage functions. The seven-seat layout includes second-row captain's chairs for executive-level comfort and easy access to the third row. Extensive acoustic glazing and active noise cancellation ensure the cabin remains quiet, even when the supercharged V8 is at full song.

Safety

Safety is managed by Cadillac's most comprehensive ADAS suite, including Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, HD Surround Vision, and Rear Pedestrian Alert. The inclusion of a Head-Up Display and Augmented Reality Navigation helps keep the driver's eyes on the road during high-speed highway travel. Standard blind-spot monitoring and lane change alerts are essential for navigating fast-moving multi-lane traffic in Dubai and Riyadh.

The bottom line

This Escalade V-Series is the ultimate opportunity for a buyer seeking the most powerful factory SUV Cadillac has ever built, presented in the region's most desirable color specification.
