Summary

This 2023 Haval Dargo High Deluxe stands out as a high-value opportunity in the GCC market, offering exceptionally low mileage for its age. While most family SUVs in the region average 20,000 km annually, this unit has covered just 8,300 km, preserving its mechanical life and interior freshness. The High Deluxe trim transforms the Dargo from a capable crossover into a luxury-adjacent cruiser, loaded with high-end features typically found in premium brands. Its bold, boxy aesthetic provides a distinctive presence on UAE roads compared to more conservative rivals. For a buyer seeking the balance of a rugged look with high-tech cabin comfort, this red Dargo is a compelling choice that avoids the heavy initial depreciation of a brand-new showroom model.

This Car vs Other 2023 Haval Dargos

With just 8,300 km on the odometer, this Dargo is in the top tier of the used market, significantly undercutting the average GCC annual mileage of 25,000 km. The Marse Red exterior is a vibrant alternative to the common greyscale palette, offering good visibility and maintaining strong niche appeal for younger buyers. Choosing this specific unit means securing a vehicle that is essentially in its run-in phase, offering a like-new mechanical state at a pre-owned price point.

HIGH DELUX vs Lower Trims

The High Deluxe trim is a major step up from the Sport and Adventure levels, introducing Nappa leather seats that are both ventilated and heated—a necessity for the GCC summer. It also adds a sophisticated Head-Up Display (HUD) and a 10-speaker Infinity premium audio system that replaces the standard 8-speaker setup. Most notably, this trim includes front-seat massage functions and a 360-degree camera system with a 'transparent chassis' view, making it far superior for tight urban parking and light trail navigation.

Dargo vs Segment Rivals

The Dargo leads competitors like the Toyota RAV4 and Nissan X-Trail by offering a locking rear differential, providing genuine traction advantages on sand and gravel tracks. Inside, its 12.3-inch infotainment screen and fully digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster feel a generation ahead of the standard displays found in base-trim Japanese rivals. While rivals focus purely on efficiency, the Dargo prioritizes a rugged 'lifestyle' aesthetic and a feature-dense cabin that includes a panoramic sunroof as standard on this trim.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel consumption for the 2.0T AWD variant averages approximately 10.9L/100km in mixed GCC conditions, reflecting its boxy profile and capable 4WD system. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km or 6 months at authorized centers, which are well-established across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. While Chinese brands experience steeper initial depreciation than Toyota or Nissan, the High Deluxe trim's massive feature list helps it maintain a higher percentage of its value among tech-focused used car buyers.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine producing 196 hp and 325 Nm of torque, the Dargo is well-suited for both high-speed highway cruising and weekend excursions. The 7-speed dual-clutch transmission provides smooth shifts, while the BorgWarner 4WD system features selectable modes for Sand, Mud, and Snow. With 200 mm of ground clearance, it confidently handles speed bumps and unpaved desert access roads that would challenge a standard sedan.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a standout in its class, featuring a panoramic sunroof that brightens the interior and high-quality Nappa leather upholstery. Dual-zone climate control with rear vents ensures all five passengers remain cool during the peak UAE summer. Innovative storage solutions, such as the vertical grab handle for the front passenger and deep door pockets, make it a highly practical family vehicle for long road trips across the emirates.

Safety

This High Deluxe trim is equipped with a full ADAS suite including Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, and Lane Keeping Assist, which are invaluable for long highway drives between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. It also features six airbags, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert to manage fast-moving urban traffic. The 360-degree camera provides excellent spatial awareness, significantly reducing the risk of minor scrapes in crowded mall parking lots.

The bottom line

Perfect for the tech-savvy family or urban adventurer, this ultra-low mileage High Deluxe Dargo offers premium luxury and rugged styling at a significant discount from its original retail price.
