Summary

This GCC-spec INEOS Grenadier represents a rare chance to own the spiritual successor to the classic Defender, powered by a robust BMW 3.0L straight-six petrol engine. Its Silver exterior is a premier choice for the region, reflecting heat effectively while maintaining strong resale demand in the local market. As an purpose-built off-roader, it offers mechanical simplicity and durability that few modern SUVs can match, making it ideal for both rugged desert expeditions and long-distance cross-border travel. For the GCC buyer, the balance of heavy-duty hardware and refined BMW-sourced powertrain provides a unique alternative to mainstream luxury off-roaders.

This Car vs Other 2023 Grenadiers

With 66,941 km on the odometer, this Grenadier has been driven slightly above the average for a first-year vehicle, yet this usage often indicates a well-sorted example that has undergone its initial break-in period and first major services. In the GCC market, where highway travel between emirates is frequent, this mileage is standard for an active lifestyle vehicle. The Silver finish is one of the most practical and sought-after colors in the UAE and wider region, ensuring it holds its value better than more niche or darker paint options.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The Grenadier is built as a highly capable platform even in its standard configuration, providing the essential heavy-duty hardware that off-road purists demand. Unlike base commercial variants, this five-seat station wagon includes a full-size spare wheel, LED auxiliary spotlights, and the refined Recaro interior as standard. It avoids the electronic complexity of higher-trim lifestyle editions, focusing instead on the 2.5:1 low-range transfer case and permanent all-wheel-drive system that define the model's capability.

Grenadier vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Land Rover Defender have moved toward monocoque construction and air suspension, the Grenadier stands apart with its traditional ladder-frame chassis and solid beam axles, offering superior long-term durability for heavy off-road use. Compared to the Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series, the INEOS provides significantly better on-road refinement and safety tech while matching its legendary mechanical toughness. Its 90-litre fuel tank is specifically designed for the long stretches between stations common in the Saudi Arabian and Omani deserts.

Running Costs & Resale

The BMW-sourced B58 engine delivers a combined fuel consumption of approximately 14.4 L/100km, reflecting its substantial build and aerodynamic profile. Owners in the GCC can expect service intervals of 12,000 km or 12 months, with a growing network of authorized centers now established across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. As a new entrant to the market with a cult following, the Grenadier is showing strong value retention, typically depreciating at a rate comparable to specialized off-road icons rather than mass-market luxury SUVs.

Performance & Capability

The 286 hp turbocharged engine provides ample torque of 450 Nm, allowing for confident highway overtaking and excellent low-speed control in sand dunes. Its class-leading 3,500 kg towing capacity makes it one of the most capable haulers in the region, perfect for transporting boats or heavy trailers. With an 800 mm wading depth and a robust 2.5:1 low-range gear, it is engineered to conquer terrain that would stop most road-biased crossovers.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the five-seat layout features hard-wearing materials and drain plugs in the floor for easy cleaning after desert trips. The cabin is equipped with high-quality Recaro seats that provide exceptional support during long drives between Dubai and Muscat. The air conditioning system is specifically tested for extreme climates, ensuring the cabin stays cool even during peak summer temperatures, while the overhead console houses physical switches for off-road functions for tactile reliability.

Safety

The Grenadier comes standard with a comprehensive safety suite including front, side, and curtain airbags, alongside advanced systems such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Trailer Stability Assist. Its hydraulic steering and Brembo braking system are tuned for predictable handling on both loose gravel and fast-moving multi-lane highways. Additionally, standard features like Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPMS) and Lane Departure Warning provide essential assistance for the long-distance travel common across the GCC.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec Grenadier is the ideal choice for a buyer who values mechanical integrity and classic 4x4 aesthetics without sacrificing modern engine performance. It represents a solid opportunity to skip the waiting list for a proven, high-spec off-roader in the region's most resilient resale color.
