Summary

This 2023 Infiniti QX55 Essential is a standout choice for those seeking a luxury crossover with a modern, coupe-like silhouette. At 3 years old with 108,000 km, its mileage is typical for a commuter vehicle in the GCC, where highway driving is common and preferred for long-distance travel. The Essential trim significantly upgrades the tech and safety suite over the base model, offering features like a surround-view camera and premium Bose audio that elevate the daily driving experience. While it is an American spec, the Infiniti brand is well-supported across the UAE, making it a stylish and practical alternative to German rivals. The white exterior is a prime choice for our climate, helping to reflect the summer heat while ensuring excellent resale value in the local market.

This Car vs Other 2023 QX55s

At 108,000 km, this vehicle's mileage is consistent with average annual usage in the GCC, where 25,000 to 30,000 km per year is common due to frequent highway travel between Emirates. Its white finish is the most sought-after color in the region, offering superior heat reflection and the strongest resale demand compared to darker tones.

ESSENTIAL vs Lower Trims

The Essential trim provides a substantial leap in technology over the base Luxe model. It adds a 16-speaker Bose Performance Series audio system, a 360-degree Around View Monitor, and factory navigation. Most importantly for the GCC, it introduces ventilated front seats, ensuring comfort during peak summer months.

QX55 vs Segment Rivals

The QX55 competes directly with the BMW X4 and Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe, offering a more unique Variable Compression (VC) Turbo engine that balances power and efficiency. It stands out by providing standard All-Wheel Drive across all trims and a more spacious, user-friendly dual-screen infotainment setup than many European counterparts.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0L VC-Turbo engine is designed for efficiency, averaging approximately 9.4 L/100km, which is competitive for a premium SUV in GCC stop-start traffic. Infiniti enjoys a strong service presence across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, though as an American spec vehicle, it is important to verify compatibility for local service packages. Resale value for Infiniti crossovers remains stable, typically depreciating at a rate of 12-15% annually in the local market.

Performance & Capability

The innovative VC-Turbo engine produces 268 hp and 380 Nm of torque, enabling smooth highway overtaking and a 0-100 km/h time of approximately 6.4 seconds. Its Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system provides excellent stability on gravel paths or during rare rainy conditions on the highway. Selectable drive modes allow you to prioritize fuel economy for city commutes or sharper throttle response for weekend drives.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a blend of leather craftsmanship and high-tech utility, featuring climate-controlled front seats and a power-adjustable steering column. Dedicated rear vents ensure passengers remain cool in the back, while acoustic glass helps insulate the interior from outside road noise during high-speed cruising. The coupe design still manages a respectable 762 liters of boot space with the rear seats up.

Safety

The Essential trim comes equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite including ProPILOT Assist for adaptive highway cruising and lane-keeping support. Standard safety highlights include Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Rear Automatic Braking, and Blind Spot Intervention, which are essential for navigating the fast-paced multi-lane highways of Dubai and Riyadh.

The bottom line

This QX55 Essential is ideal for an individual or small family looking for a premium, tech-heavy SUV that stands out from more conventional crossovers. Its combination of the most desirable local color and an upgraded feature list makes it a high-value opportunity in today's market.
