Infiniti QX80 SENSORY 2.0

Highlights

• 400 hp from a 5.6L naturally aspirated V8
• 3,855 kg maximum braked towing capacity
• 17-speaker Bose Performance Series audio standard

Summary

This GCC-spec Infiniti QX80 SENSORY is a standout find in the regional market, offering an incredibly low mileage of just 5,033 km that effectively makes it a near-new vehicle without the showroom price tag. The White exterior is the most sought-after color for resale in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, providing a significant advantage when it comes time to trade in. As the top-tier SENSORY trim, it delivers a superior level of refinement compared to the mass-market Patrol, featuring quilted semi-aniline leather and a sophisticated hydraulic suspension system. For the GCC buyer, the most important consideration is the robust, high-displacement V8 engine, which is engineered to handle extreme summer heat and long-distance desert highway cruising with ease.

This Car vs Other 2023 QX80s

With only 5,033 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits well below the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average for SUVs in the GCC, representing a rare low-use opportunity. The White exterior is a strategic choice for the local market, as it not only helps reflect intense solar heat during summer months but also maintains the strongest resale value of any color in the Emirates. This specific listing offers the mechanical peace of mind of a fresh engine and drivetrain that has barely completed its break-in period.

SENSORY vs Lower Trims

The SENSORY trim is the flagship of the range, adding essential GCC luxury features that the LUXE and Premium Select trims lack, most notably the 17-speaker Bose Performance Series audio system and the Hydraulic Body Motion Control system for a flatter, more stable ride. Inside, you benefit from quilted semi-aniline leather-appointed seating and an advanced climate control system with Plasmacluster technology, which is specifically designed to filter out allergens and odors common in sandy environments. It also includes the dual-screen rear entertainment system, a high-value feature for families on long cross-border road trips.

QX80 vs Segment Rivals

While cross-shopped with the Lexus LX600 and Cadillac Escalade, the QX80 leads with its generous interior volume and a naturally aspirated V8 that many GCC purists prefer over the newer twin-turbo V6 alternatives for long-term mechanical simplicity. Its 100-liter fuel tank is a critical advantage for long-distance desert drives between cities like Dubai and Riyadh, offering greater range than several European competitors. The Infiniti also provides a more compliant, road-focused ride than its platform-mate, the Nissan Patrol, while retaining the same legendary off-road hardware.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 5.6L V8 typically averages around 12.1 L/100km on the highway, though city driving in heavy traffic can increase this significantly. Infiniti has an extensive authorized service network across the UAE (Al Masaood and Arabian Automobiles) and Saudi Arabia, ensuring that maintenance is convenient and parts are readily available. While European luxury SUVs often face steep 15-20% annual depreciation, the QX80 holds its value better at approximately 10-12% annually, particularly when maintained in GCC spec with low mileage.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this SUV is the 5.6L V8 engine producing 400 hp and 560 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in approximately 7.3 seconds—impressive for a vehicle of this size. It is a genuine 4x4 equipped with a low-range transfer case, making it fully capable of weekend desert excursions or navigating soft sand tracks. With a massive 3,855 kg towing capacity, it is perfectly suited for hauling large boats or horse trailers, common hobbies among GCC owners.

Comfort & Cabin

The 7-seat configuration features second-row captain's chairs, providing an executive feel and easy access to the power-folding third row. The air conditioning system is world-class, featuring dedicated rear vents and controls to ensure all passengers remain cool even when external temperatures exceed 45°C. Thick acoustic glass and extensive sound dampening create a quiet sanctuary, isolating the cabin from the wind noise typically experienced on high-speed GCC highways.

Safety

The SENSORY trim comes standard with a comprehensive ADAS suite, including Predictive Forward Collision Warning, which can see two cars ahead, and Blind Spot Intervention to help navigate fast-moving multi-lane traffic. A 360-degree Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection makes parking this large SUV in tight city malls effortless. It also features Lane Departure Prevention and a Smart Rearview Mirror that provides a clear digital feed even when the cargo area is fully loaded.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for a family looking for a flagship Japanese SUV that offers the reliability of a Patrol with the luxury of a private jet, all in a near-new, low-mileage package that is perfectly spec'd for the GCC market.
