Summary

This 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sport represents the iconic choice for enthusiasts seeking a raw, mechanical connection to the road and desert. With its White exterior, it stands as one of the most practical and sought-after colors in the GCC for managing heat soak and maintaining strong resale value. This specific listing is a 3-year-old vehicle that offers the punchy 2.0L turbo engine, delivering 400 Nm of torque which is perfect for navigating soft sand dunes. While many rivals have moved toward soft-road crossovers, the Wrangler remains a dedicated body-on-frame SUV built for durability. For the GCC buyer, the standard high-clearance suspension and short overhangs provide unmatched confidence for weekend adventures in the Empty Quarter or the Hajar Mountains.

This Car vs Other 2023 Wranglers

At 112,478 km, this vehicle has been driven more than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual GCC average, suggesting a history of long-distance highway commutes between emirates. While the mileage is high for its 3 years of age, the White exterior is a significant advantage in the local market, as it is the most popular color for heat reflection and resale. Buyers should note the American regional spec, which often allows for a lower entry price but requires verification of local service compatibility.

SPORT vs Lower Trims

As the foundational trim, the Sport focuses on the core mechanical essentials that Jeep purists value, such as the Command-Trac 4WD system and heavy-duty skid plates. It avoids the electronic complexities of higher trims like the Sahara, making it an ideal 'clean slate' for owners who plan to add custom GCC-spec lift kits, off-road lighting, or specialized desert tires. You still get the modern 8-speed automatic transmission which provides smoother highway cruising than older generations.

Wrangler vs Segment Rivals

The Wrangler faces competition from the Ford Bronco and Toyota Land Cruiser 70-series. It leads the segment in terms of customization and the unique ability to fully remove the doors and roof for open-air desert driving during the winter months. Compared to the more utilitarian Land Cruiser 70, the Wrangler Sport offers a more modern turbocharged powertrain and a significantly more refined automatic gearbox for daily city use.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0L turbo engine is more fuel-efficient than the traditional V6, averaging roughly 10.4 L/100km on combined cycles, though stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh will increase this figure. American spec vehicles typically depreciate faster in the GCC market compared to their Al Futtaim or Trading Enterprises counterparts, making them a high-value entry point for budget-conscious buyers. Parts availability is excellent across the UAE and Saudi Arabia due to the massive local Jeep community.

Performance & Capability

The standout figure is the 400 Nm of torque, which arrives early in the rev range to help pull the vehicle out of deep sand. With 274 mm of ground clearance and a 44-degree approach angle, this SUV can navigate terrain that would stop a luxury crossover in its tracks. The selectable 4WD system includes a 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio, providing the mechanical leverage needed for steep dune climbs or rocky mountain trails.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for durability with easy-to-clean materials and a straightforward layout that prioritizes functional ergonomics. Standard air conditioning in the 2023 model is robust, though American spec units should be checked for consistent performance during the peak 45°C summer months. The five-seat configuration offers 898 litres of boot space, providing ample room for camping gear or recovery equipment for long desert expeditions.

Safety

Safety features include multistage front airbags and supplemental side airbags, alongside electronic stability control and roll mitigation which are vital for high-profile vehicles on sandy surfaces. The standard rear-view camera assists with parking in tight urban spaces, while the heavy-duty brake system is designed to handle the additional heat generated during frequent braking in heavy GCC traffic.

The bottom line

This Wrangler is the perfect match for a desert enthusiast looking for a late-model 4x4 at a competitive price point due to its American spec and higher mileage. It offers the best 'blank canvas' in the UAE market for those ready to build a bespoke off-road machine.
