Summary

This 2023 Lamborghini Urus Performante represents a rare opportunity to own the most track-focused version of the world’s most successful Super SUV with exceptionally low mileage. In the GCC market, where the Urus is a status symbol of choice, the Performante trim stands out due to its aggressive carbon fiber weight-saving measures and increased power output. The striking purple exterior is a bold choice that appeals to the region's taste for high-end, bespoke-looking supercars, helping it maintain a distinct profile in a sea of standard models. With only 4,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle is essentially in showroom condition, offering a significant advantage over other units that have already seen heavy highway use across the Emirates. For a buyer in the GCC, this car provides the perfect blend of supercar performance and daily SUV practicality, ensuring it remains highly sought after for local resale. The most important consideration for a local buyer is the Japanese regional specification, which often means meticulous previous care, though it requires verifying service history compatibility with local agencies.

This Car vs Other 2023 Uruss

With only 4,000 km, this Urus Performante sits well below the average GCC annual mileage of 20,000–25,000 km for a one-year-old vehicle. While many Urus models in the region are used as primary daily drivers for commutes between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, this specific unit has likely been part of a private collection, preserving its mechanical integrity and interior freshness. The purple finish is a specialized color that commands attention in the UAE and Qatar markets, where unique factory shades often lead to faster resale compared to standard white or black. Being a 2023 model year, it benefits from the latest software updates and the most refined version of the Performante's suspension tuning. Choosing this low-mileage example ensures a longer period of trouble-free operation before the first major service intervals common for high-performance Italian engines in high-temperature environments. The Japanese specification suggests it has been kept in a climate-controlled environment away from the harsh desert sun.

PERFORMANTE vs Lower Trims

The Performante trim is a significant step up from the standard Urus S, focusing heavily on weight reduction and aerodynamic efficiency that GCC drivers will appreciate during high-speed highway cruising. It features a unique aero package with a fixed rear spoiler and carbon fiber hood, which are not just for show but provide actual downforce and improved cooling. Inside, you get a more driver-centric cabin with extensive Alcantara usage and Performante-specific stitching that signals its status as the top-tier variant. The suspension is lowered and stiffened compared to the S, moving from air suspension to a steel spring setup that offers sharper handling for weekend drives through the Jabal Hafeet or Jebel Jais mountain roads. Furthermore, the exhaust system is upgraded to a titanium Akrapovič setup as standard, providing the soul-stirring V8 soundtrack that buyers in this segment demand. These additions make the Performante more than just a trim level; it is a re-engineered machine that holds its value better than the base model due to its enthusiast-focused upgrades.

Urus vs Segment Rivals

The Urus Performante competes directly with the Ferrari Purosangue, Aston Martin DBX707, and Bentley Bentayga Speed, yet it holds a unique position as the most aggressive and widely recognized of the group. While the Bentley offers more traditional luxury, the Urus dominates in terms of raw curb appeal and brand presence on regional boulevards. It leads the segment in terms of widespread authorized service availability, with major centers across the UAE and Saudi Arabia making it easier to maintain than more niche competitors. The 4.0L V8 twin-turbo engine is also highly regarded for its reliability in the extreme heat of the GCC compared to more temperamental high-displacement engines. For the family-minded buyer, the Urus provides a more usable cargo area and more intuitive infotainment than several of its European rivals. The sheer popularity of the model in the region also ensures a much more liquid secondary market, meaning you can sell it faster than an Aston Martin or a Bentley when it’s time to upgrade.

Running Costs & Resale

Maintaining a Lamborghini in the GCC involves specialized care at authorized technicians located in major cities like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, and Kuwait City. Real-world fuel consumption reflects the high-performance nature of the 657 hp engine, with city driving in stop-start heat averaging around 18-20L/100km, though this improves on the open highway between emirates. Owners should budget for service intervals every 10,000 to 12,000 km, which usually include comprehensive checks on the cooling system, a critical factor for cars running in 45°C temperatures. Depreciation for the Performante is lower than the standard Urus, as it is viewed as a more 'collectible' variant; it typically retains approximately 75-82% of its value after three years in the GCC. The Japanese regional specification is generally well-received for quality, but prospective buyers should ensure the navigation and radio frequencies are updated for Saudi or UAE standards. Parts availability is excellent across the region, with the UAE serving as a major hub for Lamborghini components, ensuring minimal downtime for repairs.

Performance & Capability

This vehicle is defined by its staggering 0-100 km/h time of just 3.3 seconds, putting it in the top 5% of all SUVs globally for acceleration. The 657 horsepower delivered by the 4.0L Twin-Turbo V8 provides effortless overtaking power on the E11 and E311 highways, even with a full cabin. Unlike the standard Urus, the Performante features a dedicated 'Rally' mode, specifically designed for high-speed driving on loose surfaces like gravel and hard-packed sand, perfect for desert excursions. The top speed of 306 km/h makes it one of the fastest production SUVs ever built, ensuring its performance is never in doubt. All-wheel drive with active torque vectoring ensures that despite its size, the car feels incredibly nimble through the corners of the UAE’s best driving roads. The ground clearance remains practical for urban use, including navigating high speed bumps and steep underground parking ramps common in Dubai Mall or Galleria Mall.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is configured with a 4-seat layout, offering maximum luxury and individual space for rear passengers, which is the preferred choice for executive use in the region. The interior is a masterclass in ergonomics, featuring high-quality Alcantara and carbon fiber trims that stay cooler to the touch than full leather after being parked in the sun. The air conditioning system is specifically engineered to handle high ambient temperatures, providing rapid cabin cooling that is essential for GCC summers. This unit comes equipped with a premium Bang & Olufsen 3D Sound System, delivering concert-hall quality audio that remains crisp even at high speeds. The seats are highly adjustable and offer excellent lateral support without compromising on the comfort needed for a three-hour drive across the border. Every surface reflects the meticulous Japanese care this car has received, with no signs of wear on the high-touch sport steering wheel or the central 'Tamburo' control unit.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on the Performante is comprehensive, featuring a suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) that are invaluable for GCC highway driving. The adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist make the long stretches between cities significantly less fatiguing for the driver. Blind-spot monitoring is particularly useful on multi-lane highways like Sheikh Zayed Road, where high-speed lane changes require constant vigilance. The car is equipped with massive carbon-ceramic brakes as standard, providing immense stopping power that resists fade even under the intense heat of a summer track day. Stability control and traction management systems have been recalibrated for the Performante to provide more grip and safety during spirited driving. Multiple airbags and a high-strength chassis ensure that this supercar-level performance is backed by world-class passenger protection.

The bottom line

This 2023 Performante is the ideal choice for a buyer who wants the peak of Urus performance with the mint condition of a new car without the showroom wait times. Its low mileage and unique color make it a standout investment in the UAE’s thriving luxury SUV market.
