• 585 hp from a hand-built 4.0L V8 biturbo
• Three independent locking differentials standard

Summary

This 2023 G63 AMG represents one of the most resilient investments in the GCC luxury car market, with its 22,000 km mileage sitting comfortably below the typical 25,000 km annual average for the region. Finished in Grey—a top-tier resale color in the UAE and Saudi Arabia—it maintains the iconic silhouette that dominates the high-performance SUV segment. While rivals offer speed or luxury, the G63 remains the only vehicle to combine a hand-built AMG powertrain with genuine military-grade off-road hardware. For the serious buyer, this specific unit offers a significant saving over new while remaining within its most desirable ownership window.

This Car vs Other 2023 G63 AMGs

With just 22,000 km over 3 years, this example has been driven significantly less than the 60,000–75,000 km expected for a vehicle of this age in the GCC. The European specification ensures a high level of interior finish, and the Grey exterior is a strategic choice for local resale, consistently outperforming bolder colors in used market liquidity.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

As the top-tier AMG variant, this G63 features the 'One Man, One Engine' hand-built V8 biturbo, which is a massive jump in both prestige and performance over the G500. GCC-essential features like the 360-degree camera, Burmester surround sound, and the signature side-exit exhaust system are standard, alongside the AMG-specific wide-screen cockpit and high-performance braking system.

G63 AMG vs Segment Rivals

While the Lamborghini Urus or Range Rover SVR may offer higher track speeds, the G63 is the only luxury performance SUV in the GCC with three locking differentials and a low-range transfer case for true desert capability. Its boxy design also provides superior head and shoulder room for five adults compared to the sloping rooflines of its Italian and British competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The G63 utilizes a cylinder deactivation system to achieve a combined 13.2 L/100km, though local stop-start traffic and high-heat idling will see higher consumption. In the UAE and wider GCC, the G-Class is legendary for its value retention, typically losing only 25–30% after three years, whereas segment rivals can lose up to 45%. Mercedes-Benz maintains one of the densest authorized service networks across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, and Kuwait, ensuring parts and expert technicians are never far away.

Performance & Capability

The 585 hp V8 biturbo provides explosive highway overtaking power, reaching a limited top speed of 220 km/h with ease. Off the tarmac, 238 mm of ground clearance and 700 mm of wading depth make it more than a status symbol; it is a highly capable desert machine. The 9-speed automatic is tuned for rapid shifts on-road and controlled torque delivery in deep sand.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the GCC summer, featuring high-output air conditioning and ventilated front seats as standard. The European-spec interior is finished in premium materials with acoustic glass to isolate passengers from wind noise during long Dubai-to-Abu Dhabi highway cruises. Customizable ambient lighting and the dual-screen interface provide a modern tech experience within the traditional upright dashboard.

Safety

Safety is managed by a full suite of ADAS features, including Adaptive Cruise Control and Active Lane Keeping Assist, which are vital for fast-moving multi-lane GCC highways. The vehicle is also equipped with high-performance LED headlights for superior desert visibility and a 360-degree camera system to assist in navigating tight urban parking and off-road obstacles alike.

The bottom line

For the GCC enthusiast seeking the ultimate combination of status, performance, and unmatched resale value, this low-mileage 2023 G63 is the definitive choice. It offers the peak AMG experience in a color and condition that makes it a highly liquid asset in the local market.
