Summary

This 3-year-old Super SUV represents the refined middle ground of the Lamborghini lineup, offering the updated power of the Performante with the daily-drive composure of air suspension. With mileage sitting right at the expected average for a high-use GCC luxury vehicle, it has been driven as the manufacturer intended across the region's well-maintained highways. The black-on-black color combination remains the gold standard for resale value in the UAE and Saudi markets, ensuring long-term appeal. It stands out by offering genuine supercar performance without sacrificing the ground clearance or cabin tech required for local family life. For a buyer in the Gulf, this is the most logical way to access the current-generation design and mechanical updates.

This Car vs Other 2023 Uruss

At 47,000 km, this vehicle sits exactly where a well-loved GCC car should be after three years of use, reflecting the reality of long-distance commutes between Emirates. While some low-mileage examples exist, they often miss out on the regular mechanical exercise that keeps these high-performance cooling systems and seals in peak condition for the heat. The black exterior is a high-demand choice locally, offering significantly better liquidity at resale than brighter, more polarizing shades.

S vs Lower Trims

The S trim replaced the original model for 2023, bringing a significant power bump to 666 CV and a redesigned front bumper for better engine cooling in extreme temperatures. It adds the sophisticated adaptive air suspension as standard, which is widely preferred by GCC owners over the stiff steel springs found on the track-focused Performante. Inside, you get a more luxury-oriented leather finish and enhanced acoustic insulation, making it far more suitable for the school run or executive commuting.

Urus vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Aston Martin DBX707 offer similar straight-line speed, the Lamborghini leads with a superior 85-litre fuel tank that is essential for cross-border trips or long desert highway stretches. Its ANIMA drive system features a dedicated 'Sabbia' (Sand) mode specifically tuned for the type of terrain found in the UAE and Saudi deserts. Compared to the Bentley Bentayga, the Urus offers a much sharper, more aggressive gearbox response that feels more aligned with a supercar heritage.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world combined fuel consumption typically averages around 14.1 L/100km, though stop-start traffic in cities like Dubai or Riyadh will see this rise significantly. Service intervals are set at 15,000 km or annually, and the Lamborghini authorized network is robust across the UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, supporting strong secondary market confidence. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it retains a value premium of roughly 15-20% over imported American or European examples, which often lack the necessary cooling hardware for local summers. Depreciation for this trim has stabilized well, making it a predictable asset at the three-year mark.

Performance & Capability

The 850 Nm of torque is available from just 2,300 RPM, providing effortless overtaking power on the E11 or E311 highways regardless of passenger load. The permanent all-wheel-drive system and active rear torque vectoring ensure the car remains planted during high-speed directional changes, even on dusty surfaces. With a maximum ground clearance of nearly 250 mm via the air suspension, it handles steep villa driveways and light off-road excursions with ease. This is one of the few vehicles globally that can genuinely claim to behave like a 300 km/h supercar while offering 616 litres of boot space.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the GCC summer, featuring a high-capacity climate control system and multi-zone cooling that reaches rear passengers effectively. It comes equipped with the Lamborghini Infotainment System III, offering dual haptic touchscreens that are easy to navigate even in bright sunlight. The five-seat configuration provides ample legroom for adult passengers, making it a viable primary family car. Acoustic glass comes standard on this trim, significantly reducing tire and wind roar during high-speed highway cruising.

Safety

The Urus S features a comprehensive safety suite including adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, which is invaluable for the heavy traffic between Sharjah and Dubai. High-performance carbon-ceramic brakes are standard, providing a massive 10-piston setup at the front to ensure fade-free stopping power in high ambient temperatures. Blind-spot monitoring and a 360-degree camera system are included, assisting with the vehicle's wide footprint in tight urban parking environments. These active systems, combined with eight airbags, provide a safety envelope that exceeds typical SUV standards.

The bottom line

For the GCC enthusiast who needs one car to do everything, this 2023 Urus S offers the perfect balance of updated 666 CV performance and long-distance luxury. It is a strategically sound purchase for a buyer who prioritizes the ease of air suspension and the rock-solid resale value of a GCC-spec black Lamborghini.
