Summary

This 2023 Lamborghini Urus S represents the peak of the super-SUV's evolution, offering more power and a sharper exhaust note than the original model. With approximately 12,600 km driven per year, this GCC-spec example has been used exactly as intended for the region, balancing performance with daily usability. The Grey exterior is a highly resilient choice for the local market, maintaining strong resale value and hiding the dust of the UAE climate better than most. For the performance-minded family, this trim provides the perfect mix of Lamborghini's racing soul and the practical comfort needed for cross-country drives between emirates.

This Car vs Other 2023 Urus S s

At 37,989 km, this vehicle’s mileage is closely aligned with the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen in the GCC, suggesting it has been used as a consistent but well-maintained daily driver. Most available units in the secondary market are either very low-mileage 'garage queens' or higher-mileage examples, making this a balanced choice for a buyer who wants a proven car. The Grey finish is a high-demand, high-retention color in the Dubai and Riyadh markets, ensuring it remains easier to trade or sell compared to more polarizing exotic hues.

S vs Lower Trims

The Urus S replaced the original model for 2023, introducing a power bump to 666 hp and a redesigned front bumper with a matte black stainless steel skidplate. Unlike the track-focused Performante, the S retains the adaptive air suspension system, which is essential for maintaining ride comfort on the varied road surfaces of the GCC. It also features a retuned exhaust system that delivers a much more aggressive and distinct start-up sound, a signature trait that buyers in this segment specifically look for.

Urus vs Segment Rivals

The Urus S consistently leads rivals like the Aston Martin DBX and Bentley Bentayga when it comes to raw acceleration and aggressive styling. While the Bentley focuses on wafting luxury, the Lamborghini offers a significantly more driver-centric experience with its active rear torque vectoring and four-wheel steering. Its 85-litre fuel tank provides a respectable range for the long highway stretches between Abu Dhabi and Muscat, where its superior high-speed stability sets it apart from more traditional luxury SUVs.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically averages around 14.1 L/100km on the combined cycle, though city driving in heavy traffic may see higher figures. Lamborghini’s authorized service network is well-established in major GCC hubs like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh, with recommended service intervals occurring every 10,000 km or annually. The Urus holds some of the highest value retention scores in the exotic SUV segment, typically depreciating only about 15% after three years in the GCC market, especially for GCC-spec units with clear history.

Performance & Capability

The 4.0L twin-turbo V8 produces a massive 850 Nm of torque, allowing for effortless highway overtaking and a blistering 3.5-second sprint to 100 km/h. Its permanent four-wheel-drive system includes specific ANIMA drive modes such as Sabbia (Sand) and Terra (Gravel), specifically engineered to handle desert terrain. Despite its supercar performance, the adjustable air suspension allows you to raise the ground clearance to 248 mm, making it surprisingly capable for weekend excursions off the tarmac.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a masterclass in Italian craftsmanship, featuring a 5-seat layout that makes it a genuine family vehicle. In the GCC heat, the standard multi-zone climate control and high-quality insulation ensure the interior remains cool even during peak summer months. The dual-screen Lamborghini Infotainment System (LIS) handles navigation and media with haptic feedback, while the soft-close doors and acoustic glass provide a level of refinement that balances the engine's aggressive roar during long-distance cruising.

Safety

This Urus S comes equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite including Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Monitoring, both of which are highly beneficial for the fast-paced multi-lane highway traffic common in the UAE. Carbon-ceramic brakes come as standard, providing immense stopping power and resistance to brake fade in high temperatures. The system also includes 360-degree cameras and parking sensors, ensuring this large-format SUV remains easy to maneuver in tight urban environments.

The bottom line

For the GCC enthusiast who refuses to choose between a supercar and a family SUV, this GCC-spec Urus S offers the perfect spec and a reliable history in the region's most resilient resale color.
