Summary

This 2023 Lexus LX600 Prestige offers the perfect entry point into the pinnacle of Japanese luxury SUVs, featuring the robust twin-turbo V6 that has redefined the model's performance. With just over 40,000 km, this white-on-tan example sits in the sweet spot of the used market, avoiding the steep initial depreciation while maintaining the manufacturer's legendary reliability. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it is purpose-built to handle extreme regional temperatures with an oversized cooling system and high-output air conditioning. For the GCC buyer, the LX600 remains the most secure automotive investment in the region, combining unmatched resale strength with a service network that spans every corner of the Middle East.

This Car vs Other 2023 LX600s

With 40,412 km on the odometer, this LX600 has been driven approximately 20,000 km per year, which is considered low-to-average for a flagship SUV in the GCC highway environment. Its Pearl White exterior is the most sought-after color in the regional used market, ensuring faster resale and better value retention than darker shades. Choosing a 2023 model allows you to benefit from the latest TNGA-F platform and infotainment tech while the vehicle is still under its primary local warranty period.

PRESTIGE vs Lower Trims

The Prestige trim serves as the sophisticated foundation of the LX600 lineup, coming standard with essential GCC luxuries like ventilated front seats and a power-folding third row. While higher trims add larger 22-inch wheels, the Prestige's 20-inch alloy wheels offer a more cushioned ride quality and better durability on gravel or uneven terrain. It features the dual-screen interface with a 12.3-inch upper display and a 7-inch lower vehicle-settings screen, ensuring you have the full modern tech suite without the excessive complexity of the VIP layouts.

LX600 vs Segment Rivals

The LX600 leads rivals like the Cadillac Escalade and Range Rover in terms of mechanical longevity and the ability to operate reliably on 95-octane fuel across the region. Its body-on-frame construction provides a level of ruggedness that monocoque competitors cannot match for frequent desert-road or long-distance inter-city travel. With a total fuel capacity of 110 litres thanks to the factory-installed auxiliary tank, the LX600 offers a superior cruising range for cross-border trips between the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Running Costs & Resale

Lexus maintains the highest resale value of any luxury brand in the GCC, typically retaining up to 80% of its value after three years. Real-world fuel consumption averages around 12.1 L/100km on combined cycles, though city driving in heavy Dubai or Riyadh traffic will see higher figures. Authorized service centers like Al-Futtaim in the UAE provide a seamless ownership experience with service intervals every 10,000 km or 6 months. Parts availability is excellent across all six GCC nations, keeping long-term maintenance costs significantly lower than European peers.

Performance & Capability

The 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 delivers a massive 650 Nm of torque, allowing this 2.7-ton SUV to reach 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds. This power is managed by a 10-speed automatic transmission that is tuned for smooth highway overtaking and low-speed crawling. For weekend adventures, the standard Multi-Terrain Select system and Torsen limited-slip center differential provide genuine off-road capability, while the 226 mm ground clearance ensures you can navigate dunes or construction sites with total confidence.

Comfort & Cabin

This 7-seater configuration is designed for family logistics, featuring a versatile third row that folds flat for increased cargo space. The GCC-spec climate control system is world-class, featuring multiple zones and powerful vents that can cool the large cabin from 50°C to a comfortable temperature in minutes. High-quality leather upholstery and ambient lighting create a serene environment, while the 10-speaker premium audio system and acoustic glass provide a quiet sanctuary from outside wind and road noise.

Safety

The 2023 LX600 comes standard with the Lexus Safety System+ 2.5, which includes Pre-Collision System with pedestrian detection, Lane Tracing Assist, and All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. For GCC highways, the Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert are invaluable for navigating multi-lane traffic. The vehicle is equipped with 10 airbags and a 360-degree Panoramic View Monitor, making it exceptionally safe and easy to park despite its imposing size.

The bottom line

This LX600 Prestige is the ideal choice for a family or executive buyer looking for the ultimate 'peace-of-mind' luxury SUV with the best resale profile in the Middle East. It combines low-mileage reliability with the most desirable regional specifications, making it a high-confidence purchase in today's market.
