Summary

This 2026 Infiniti QX80 represents the peak of the model's total redesign, offering a complete departure from previous generations with its sophisticated twin-turbocharged powertrain. The Autograph trim is highly sought after in the GCC market for its exclusive quilted semi-aniline leather and second-row massage functions, which significantly bolster its long-term resale appeal. In the regional context, its brand-new platform and zero-year age make it a compelling alternative to more common luxury SUVs that have aged through their cycles. For the GCC buyer, the white exterior provides the strongest possible resale advantage and heat reflection for the summer months. This is a robust choice for families who need seven-seat capacity combined with genuine long-distance cruising comfort and modern technology.

This Car vs Other 2026 QX80s

As a brand-new vehicle with zero specified mileage, this QX80 sits at the very beginning of its lifecycle, avoiding the rapid wear typical of high-use family SUVs in the GCC. While the average annual mileage in the region often reaches 25,000 km, this unit offers a fresh start with full mechanical longevity. The white exterior is the most preferred color for the UAE and Saudi markets, ensuring it will attract the highest number of buyers when it eventually returns to the used market.

AUTOGRAPH CAPTAIN CHAIRS vs Lower Trims

The Autograph trim is a significant step up from the Sensory and Sport grades, introducing executive-level features like front and second-row massaging seats and a dedicated second-row touchscreen for climate and seat controls. It also includes the advanced ProPILOT Assist 2.1 system, which offers superior lane-centering and adaptive cruise performance on the wide highways between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Unlike lower trims, the Autograph features a factory-fitted cool box in the front console, a vital addition for the GCC climate.

QX80 vs Segment Rivals

The QX80 leads many European rivals with its substantial 3,855 kg towing capacity, making it the preferred choice for those transporting boats or horse trailers across the Emirates. Its 98-litre fuel tank provides a longer highway range than the BMW X7, which is essential for cross-border drives to Oman or Saudi Arabia. Compared to the Cadillac Escalade, the Infiniti offers a more refined V6 twin-turbo power delivery that balances high-torque performance with improved engine efficiency.

Running Costs & Resale

The transition to a 3.5L twin-turbo V6 improves fuel efficiency over the previous V8 generation, averaging approximately 13.8 L/100km in combined driving, though heavy GCC city traffic may see higher figures. Infiniti maintains an extensive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts availability and professional maintenance are never an issue. Historically, the QX80 retains its value better than its European luxury counterparts, typically depreciating by only 10-12% annually in the GCC market.

Performance & Capability

The 450 hp twin-turbo V6 delivers 700 Nm of torque, providing effortless overtaking power on the E11 highway even when fully loaded with seven passengers. Standard Electronic Air Suspension allows the vehicle to adapt its height for improved aerodynamics at speed or easier cabin access when parked. While it has moved away from a traditional low-range transfer case, the advanced All-Mode 4WD system ensures confidence on both high-speed desert highways and loose gravel tracks leading to mountain getaways.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is configured with seven seats, featuring second-row captain chairs that offer a business-class experience with heating, ventilation, and massage functions. Biometric Cooling technology uses infrared sensors to detect if a passenger is hot and automatically directs air to cool them down—a segment-first feature perfect for the GCC summer. Acoustic glass and a 24-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system create a serene, high-fidelity sanctuary isolated from outside wind and road noise.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on the Autograph trim includes a 3D Around View Monitor, which is essential for maneuvering this large SUV in tight city parking. The full ADAS suite features Blind Spot Intervention to assist in fast-moving multi-lane traffic and Predictive Forward Collision Warning that can see two cars ahead. For families, the inclusion of heated third-row seats and a comprehensive airbag system ensuring protection for all three rows makes this one of the safest flagship SUVs available today.

The bottom line

This 2026 QX80 Autograph is the definitive choice for a GCC buyer who wants the latest in Japanese luxury and twin-turbo performance without the waitlist of a new order. Its combination of a high-resale color and the range-topping Captain Chairs configuration makes it a blue-chip asset in the regional SUV market.
