Summary

This 2023 Lexus RX350 Prestige represents a significant generational leap, offering a more efficient turbocharged powertrain and a completely modernized cabin. As a GCC-spec model with mileage slightly above the typical UAE annual average, it remains a highly durable choice for cross-emirate commuting and family duties. The black exterior is the most sought-after resale color in the region, ensuring strong value retention when you decide to upgrade. Compared to its European rivals, this RX offers a superior balance of luxury and mechanical reliability, making it a stress-free entry into the premium SUV segment. The Prestige trim serves as the ideal mid-tier sweet spot, providing essential luxury features without the complexity of higher-performance hybrid systems.

This Car vs Other 2023 RX350s

With 65,447 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven more than the typical 20,000 km annual average for luxury crossovers in the UAE, yet it reflects consistent highway use which is often better for mechanical longevity than city-only stop-start traffic. The black finish is a top-tier choice for the GCC market, maximizing your resale potential compared to niche colors. It is a genuine GCC-spec vehicle, ensuring full compatibility with local service centers and a cooling system optimized for the extreme summer heat.

PRESTIGE vs Lower Trims

The Prestige trim elevates the ownership experience over the base models by including key essentials for the local climate, such as ventilated front seats and a power-adjustable steering wheel. It also features the upgraded digital interface and ambient interior lighting that creates a more premium nighttime atmosphere during city drives. While higher trims add larger 21-inch wheels, the Prestige's 19-inch setup provides a noticeably softer ride quality over uneven road surfaces.

RX350 vs Segment Rivals

The Lexus RX350 consistently leads the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE in long-term reliability and lower maintenance costs within the GCC. Its 2.4L turbocharged engine provides a punchy, responsive drive that is more fuel-efficient than the older V6 versions while maintaining a quieter cabin than many rivals. For family use, the RX offers class-leading seat comfort and a flat floor that makes the second row far more usable for three passengers.

Running Costs & Resale

Lexus enjoys some of the highest residual values in the UAE, typically retaining roughly 10-15% more value after three years compared to German competitors. Real-world fuel consumption for this AWD turbo model is approximately 9.9 L/100km, which is efficient for a luxury SUV of this size. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, supported by one of the most extensive authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the wider GCC.

Performance & Capability

The 275 hp turbocharged engine delivers 430 Nm of torque, allowing for smooth highway overtaking and a respectable 0–100 km/h time of 7.6 seconds. The All-Wheel Drive system provides excellent stability during sudden rain showers or when traversing gravel paths to weekend villas. It is built on the GA-K platform, which lowers the center of gravity for more confident handling on winding roads compared to the previous generation.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of quiet, featuring acoustic glass and high-quality materials that effectively isolate passengers from external heat and noise. The five-seat layout provides generous legroom, while the 612-litre boot easily accommodates large grocery runs or family suitcases. The triple-zone climate control and ventilated seating are indispensable for maintaining comfort during the peak GCC summer months.

Safety

This trim includes the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which features Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection and All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, perfect for long desert highway drives. It also introduces the Digital Latch with Safe Exit Assist, a crucial feature that prevents doors from opening if a vehicle or cyclist is approaching from behind. Additional standard tech includes Lane Tracing Assist and Road Sign Assist to keep you informed and safe in busy multi-lane traffic.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec RX350 is the perfect opportunity for a buyer seeking a modern, reliable luxury SUV that will hold its value better than almost anything else in its class.
