Summary

This 2023 G63 AMG represents a highly desirable opportunity in the GCC market, combining extremely low mileage of just 9,000 km with the timeless appeal of a black exterior. As a Japanese regional spec, it offers a distinct price advantage and typically benefits from the high maintenance standards seen in the Japanese market. The model remains a segment leader for its unique blend of brute force and iconic design, holding its value exceptionally well across the region. For a UAE buyer, this specific listing provides near-new mechanical condition and the prestige of the AMG brand without the wait times of a local dealership order.

This Car vs Other 2023 G63 AMGs

With only 9,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits well below the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average for the GCC, representing significantly less wear than most available units. The black-on-black color combination remains the most sought-after configuration for resale in the Dubai and Riyadh markets. Being a Japanese import, it provides a competitive entry point into current-generation G-Class ownership while maintaining the high-grade auction condition typical of Japan.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

As the top-tier AMG performance variant, the G63 adds the hand-assembled biturbo V8 and the high-performance AMG Ride Control suspension over the G500. This trim includes the essential 15-speaker Burmester surround-sound system and the signature side-exit exhaust pipes that are defining features for GCC buyers. It also benefits from upgraded Nappa leather interiors and the 12.3-inch dual-widescreen cockpit as standard equipment.

G63 AMG vs Segment Rivals

The G63 stands apart from rivals like the Lamborghini Urus or Range Rover SVR by offering a genuine body-on-frame construction and three mechanical locking differentials for superior durability. Its 100-litre fuel tank provides a significant range advantage for long-distance cruising between emirates or cross-border travel. While competitors focus on aerodynamics, the G-Class leads in vertical headroom and iconic presence that remains unmatched in the luxury SUV segment.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.0L V8 features cylinder deactivation technology to optimize efficiency, though real-world combined consumption typically averages 13.2L/100km. Mercedes-Benz maintains one of the most robust authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts and expert technicians are always accessible. While Japanese-spec cars may sit outside local dealer warranties, they benefit from lower initial depreciation, and the G63 specifically retains roughly 85-90% of its value after three years in the local market.

Performance & Capability

The hand-built V8 produces 585 hp and a massive 850 Nm of torque, allowing for effortless highway overtaking and a top speed of 220 km/h. Its permanent all-wheel drive and low-range transfer case make it one of the few luxury vehicles truly capable of handling deep sand or desert terrain. The AMG-tuned 9-speed automatic transmission is specifically calibrated for rapid shifts, providing a sports-car-like response in a 2.5-ton SUV.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of luxury featuring tri-zone climate control and high-definition dual screens that remain legible even in bright desert sun. Nappa leather upholstery is paired with multi-contour seats that provide exceptional support for long cross-country drives. Despite its rugged exterior, the interior is heavily insulated against the extreme GCC heat, with powerful air conditioning units designed to maintain a cool cabin temperature rapidly.

Safety

Standard safety features include an advanced ADAS suite with adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automated emergency braking, which are essential for navigating fast-moving multi-lane highways. The vehicle is equipped with a 360° surround-view camera system to assist in parking its boxy dimensions, alongside blind-spot monitoring and a comprehensive 9-airbag system for maximum occupant protection.

The bottom line

Perfect for the enthusiast seeking a low-mileage, high-prestige icon, this G63 offers a significant value advantage as a Japanese spec in the most popular resale color.
