Summary

This Mitsubishi Attrage is a standout for efficiency, offering some of the lowest running costs in the compact sedan segment. As a three-year-old vehicle, it has already cleared the steepest part of the depreciation curve, making it a highly logical choice for a daily commuter. The Highline trim ensures you aren't sacrificing modern convenience, adding a 7-inch touchscreen with smartphone integration that is often missing from base rental-spec units. Its GCC specifications mean the cooling system is specifically built to handle the intense summer heat of the region. For a buyer prioritizing budget-friendly ownership without compromising on a recent model year, this unit represents peak practicality.

This Car vs Other 2023 Attrages

With 79,845 km on the clock, this Attrage sits comfortably within the expected mileage for a three-year-old commuter vehicle in the GCC, where 25,000 km per year is the standard. Its grey exterior is a neutral, high-demand choice for the local market, offering better heat resistance than black while maintaining a more professional aesthetic than basic white. It presents a balanced opportunity for a buyer who wants a reliable, newer-model car that has been driven regularly on the region's well-maintained highways.

GLX HIGHLINE vs Lower Trims

The GLX Highline trim significantly upgrades the ownership experience over the base GLX models typically found in fleet use. It features a 7-inch Smartphone-Link Display Audio system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a critical addition for modern navigation and hands-free communication. Additionally, this trim includes 15-inch alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, and integrated turn signals in the side mirrors, providing a more refined look and feel than the plastic-trimmed base versions.

Attrage vs Segment Rivals

When compared to rivals like the Toyota Yaris or Nissan Sunny, the Attrage leads the way in outright maneuverability and fuel economy. Its 4.8-meter turning circle makes it arguably the easiest sedan to park in dense urban areas like Dubai Marina or Riyadh’s city center. While competitors might offer larger engines, the Attrage is specifically engineered for the lowest possible cost per kilometer, making it the preferred choice for those looking to minimize their monthly fuel spend.

Running Costs & Resale

The Attrage is famous in the GCC for its incredible 4.8 L/100km fuel efficiency, making it one of the most economical petrol vehicles on the road. Service intervals are typically set at 10,000 km, and with one of the most widespread authorized service networks in the region, maintenance is both affordable and convenient. Historically, Mitsubishi sedans hold their value well in the local used market due to their reputation for mechanical simplicity and the high availability of affordable spare parts.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 1.2-liter MIVEC engine, the Attrage is designed for efficient city cruising and steady highway commuting. The INVECS-III CVT transmission is tuned to keep the engine in its most efficient power band, ensuring smooth acceleration in stop-start traffic. While it is a compact sedan, its lightweight construction allows the 78 hp engine to feel peppy enough for urban lane changes and navigating the daily commute between emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

Despite its compact exterior, the Attrage offers a surprisingly spacious cabin with generous rear legroom for its class. The Highline trim includes automatic climate control, a vital feature for maintaining comfort during the peak GCC summer months. The boot provides 450 liters of space, which is ample for weekly grocery runs or airport trips. The interior is finished in durable fabric designed to withstand daily use while remaining cooler to the touch than leather in direct sunlight.

Safety

Safety in the GLX Highline is handled by a comprehensive suite of active and passive systems. It comes standard with dual front airbags, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), and Brake Assist. Additionally, Active Stability Control (ASC) and Hill Start Assist (HSA) provide extra confidence when navigating steep parking ramps or slippery surfaces, features that are standard on this trim to ensure a secure driving experience.

The bottom line

This 2023 Attrage is the perfect match for a savvy professional or a small family looking for a reliable, late-model sedan with the lowest possible running costs in the GCC.
