Summary

This 2023 Nissan Z is a standout opportunity in the GCC sports car market, offering the perfect balance of a modern twin-turbo powertrain and classic heritage styling. At 63,503 km, the mileage is slightly above the typical annual average for a car of this age, yet it remains a highly compelling buy due to its robust mechanical build and excellent regional parts availability. As a GCC-spec model, it is factory-prepared for the extreme local climate, featuring the heavy-duty cooling systems essential for sustained performance in the summer heat. The Grey exterior is a strong, neutral choice that holds its value well and is easier to maintain in dusty conditions compared to darker shades. This Z is ideal for someone looking for a high-output, reliable daily driver that delivers a raw, rear-wheel-drive experience without the upkeep of a European exotic.

This Car vs Other 2023 Zs

While typical GCC annual use falls between 20,000 and 25,000 km, this car sits at 63,503 km, representing a well-traveled example that has likely spent much of its life on UAE highways. For a car this age in the local used market, this mileage is considered average to high, which is reflected in its competitive positioning against low-km garage queens. The Grey finish is a smart choice for the region, offering better resale stability than niche launch colors like yellow or bronze.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The Standard trim serves as the entry point for this generation, but it still includes high-value features such as the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a full suite of ADAS safety tech. While higher trims add mechanical upgrades like a limited-slip differential and larger brakes, the Standard retains the exact same 400 hp twin-turbo V6 engine. This makes it the most efficient way to access the model's top-tier performance while maintaining cloth seats that are often preferred in the GCC for staying cooler after being parked in the sun.

Z vs Segment Rivals

The Nissan Z leads rivals like the Toyota Supra and BMW 2 Series by offering a significantly higher base horsepower output for the price. Its 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine provides 400 hp as standard, whereas competitors often require stepping up to higher, more expensive engine grades to match that power. Additionally, Nissan's massive regional service footprint gives it a clear advantage over European rivals in terms of long-term maintenance and parts availability across all emirates.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the automatic Z is approximately 9.8 L/100km on highway drives, though this will increase in stop-start city traffic typical of Dubai or Riyadh. As a Japanese sports car, it enjoys a slower depreciation curve than its German counterparts, typically losing only 8-10% annually in the GCC market. Service intervals are 10,000 km, and with one of the most extensive authorized service networks in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, maintenance is straightforward and predictable.

Performance & Capability

The Z's 400 hp twin-turbo V6 is designed for rapid acceleration, reaching 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds with the 9-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain is particularly effective for highway overtaking and offers a top speed of 250 km/h. Its rear-wheel-drive layout and balanced chassis make it highly engaging on well-maintained GCC highways, while the automatic gearbox features a dedicated launch control system for consistent standing-start performance.

Comfort & Cabin

The two-seat cockpit is focused entirely on the driver, featuring a modern 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In the GCC climate, the high-capacity air conditioning system is a major benefit, known for cooling the compact cabin significantly faster than larger luxury vehicles. The digital dashboard allows you to monitor engine vitals—critical for performance driving in high ambient temperatures—while the cabin insulation provides a refined environment for long-distance emirate-to-emirate commutes.

Safety

This Z comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, and Blind Spot Warning—vital for navigating fast-moving multi-lane traffic. Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Departure Warning are also standard, making long desert highway drives between Abu Dhabi and Dubai much less fatiguing. These active systems provide a level of security that many rivals only offer as part of premium optional packages.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec Z is the perfect choice for a driver who wants iconic 400 hp performance with the reliability and resale strength of the Nissan brand. It offers a unique opportunity to own a modern legend that is as capable on the daily commute as it is on a weekend run to Jebel Jais.
