Summary

This 2023 Porsche 911 Targa 4S represents a prime opportunity for a GCC buyer, offering the mechanical advantage of low mileage that is significantly below the typical annual average of 25,000 km for this region. The Grey exterior is a highly resilient resale color in the UAE and Saudi markets, providing a safe harbor for your investment compared to bolder lifestyle shades. As a Targa 4S, it bridges the gap between the purity of the coupe and the freedom of the cabriolet, featuring the sophisticated fully-automated glass roof system that is perfect for evening drives between October and April. This specific 992-generation example is still under its initial warranty window, ensuring peace of mind across the wider GCC service network. For the enthusiast who values both year-round usability and iconic design, this is one of the most balanced sports cars available in the local market.

This Car vs Other 2023 911s

With just 20,000 km on the odometer, this car is in a much stronger position than many 2023 models in the GCC, which often see higher highway mileage between major cities. The Targa 4S is a rarer sight on Dubai and Riyadh roads than the standard Carrera S, ensuring a level of exclusivity that supports better price stability. Its Grey finish is a high-demand professional color that traditionally attracts a wider pool of buyers at resale.

Targa 4S vs Lower Trims

Moving up to the 4S from the base Targa 4 adds a significant 65 hp increase and a more robust braking system, which is vital for maintaining performance in high ambient temperatures. You also gain larger staggered 20/21-inch wheels and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard, which allows the car to adapt instantly to GCC highway conditions or tighter urban maneuvers.

911 vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Audi R8 or Maserati MC20 offer exotic flair, the 911 Targa 4S leads with daily reliability and a far superior cabin cooling system designed to handle 50°C summer peaks. The Porsche also benefits from a much larger authorized service footprint across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, making long-term ownership far more convenient than its Italian or British competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages approximately 11.1 L/100km, which is efficient for a car of this caliber during long-distance drives between the Emirates. Service intervals are typically every 15,000 km or annually, and Porsche’s extensive network in major GCC cities keeps maintenance predictable. Historically, the 911 Targa 4S maintains one of the strongest value retention profiles in the UAE used market, typically losing only 12-15% in its first two years.

Performance & Capability

The 3.0L twin-turbo flat-six delivers a verified 443 hp, allowing for effortless highway overtaking even at high speeds. With a top speed of 304 km/h and all-wheel drive stability, it handles the high-speed transit of the E11 with absolute composure. The 8-speed PDK transmission is widely regarded as the best in the industry, providing lightning-fast shifts that make the most of its 530 Nm of torque.

Comfort & Cabin

The 2+2 seating layout includes a refined interior that prioritizes driver ergonomics and high-grade materials that resist the intense GCC sun. Standard features on the 4S often include high-performance climate control and premium audio, ensuring a comfortable environment even during the peak of summer. The unique Targa roof provides a quiet, coupe-like experience when closed, with excellent acoustic insulation.

Safety

Standard safety features include Porsche Stability Management, advanced airbags, and front/rear parking sensors with a camera system for easy urban navigation. The all-wheel-drive system provides essential grip during the occasional heavy rain or on sandy highway shoulders, while available blind-spot monitoring helps navigate the fast-moving multi-lane traffic common in major GCC metropolitan areas.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer seeking the perfect middle ground between a daily-capable coupe and a weekend convertible, this low-mileage Targa 4S is a safe and high-performance choice.
