Summary

This 2023 Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition offers a premium truck experience with the reliability that Toyota is famous for across the GCC. As a 3-year-old vehicle with 89,000 km, it sits in the typical mileage range for a regional commuter while providing significant savings over a new model. The 1794 Edition is highly sought after in the UAE for its unique Western-themed luxury cabin, featuring genuine American walnut wood and premium leather. While American-spec, its twin-turbo V6 provides ample power for highway overtaking and desert excursions. For a GCC buyer, the Tundra remains a top-tier alternative to the Sierra or F-150, offering a more modern interior and better long-term durability.

This Car vs Other 2023 Tundras

At 89,000 km, this Tundra has been driven roughly 29,600 km per year, which is slightly above the GCC average of 25,000 km but typical for owners commuting between emirates. The black exterior is one of the strongest resale colors in the UAE, ensuring it remains attractive to future buyers. Being a 2023 model, it features the latest generation chassis and powertrain, offering better efficiency than the older V8 variants still found on the market.

1794 EDITION vs Lower Trims

The 1794 Edition sits near the top of the hierarchy, adding a level of craftsmanship not found in the Limited or SR5 trims. It introduces genuine American walnut wood-grain trim, a 12-speaker JBL premium audio system, and a panoramic sunroof as standard. Crucially for the GCC climate, this trim adds ventilated rear seats in addition to the front ones, providing essential cooling for all passengers during summer.

Tundra vs Segment Rivals

The Tundra competes directly with the Ford F-150 and Chevrolet Silverado, leading with its reputation for mechanical longevity and a standard 14-inch touchscreen that outclasses many rivals' base displays. Its 122-litre fuel tank is a major advantage for long-distance desert drives or cross-border trips, providing a significant range between fill-ups. Toyota's resale value in the Middle East consistently outperforms American competitors by a noticeable margin.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.4L twin-turbo V6 typically averages around 13-15 L/100km depending on your balance of city traffic and highway cruising. As an American-spec vehicle, it is important to note that while many parts are shared with local models, specialized sensors or software might require sourcing through independent specialists in Sharjah or Dubai. Toyota parts availability is the best in the region, and authorized service centers are available in every major GCC city, though warranty coverage is typically not transferable from the US.

Performance & Capability

The i-FORCE twin-turbo V6 delivers 389 hp and 649 Nm of torque, allowing for a 0-100 km/h sprint in approximately 6.7 seconds. With a braked towing capacity of nearly 5,000 kg and a selectable four-wheel-drive system, it is just as capable of hauling a boat to the marina as it is navigating sandy tracks. The 10-speed automatic transmission is tuned for smooth highway cruising, making it an excellent long-distance tourer.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is defined by its exclusive Saddle Brown or Rich Cream leather interior paired with open-pore wood accents. It features a massive 14-inch multimedia display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless connectivity. The dual-zone climate control and high-output AC system are designed to handle high ambient temperatures, while the ventilated seats provide immediate relief during the peak of summer.

Safety

Standard safety features include the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 suite, which provides Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection and Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, ideal for long highway hauls. It also features a 360-degree camera system and Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, which are essential for navigating a vehicle of this size through tight urban parking or multi-lane traffic.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants the luxury of a premium SUV with the utility of a full-size truck, this 1794 Edition is a high-spec, high-value choice that holds its appeal in the local market.
