Summary

This 2024 Sportback is a standout choice in the GCC used market, offering a near-new ownership profile with mileage that falls well below the region's typical 25,000 km annual average. Finished in a sophisticated blue that maintains high resale appeal in the UAE, the S-Line trim provides a significantly more aggressive visual presence than the standard model. The A5 Sportback bridges the gap between executive sedans and practical hatchbacks, offering more cargo flexibility than a traditional BMW 3 Series. For GCC buyers, the primary consideration is the balance of European refinement with efficient city commuting, supported by Audi's well-established service infrastructure across the Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2024 Audi A5s

With just over 31,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits in the 'low-mileage' bracket for a modern GCC daily driver, where long highway commutes often result in much higher annual totals. The blue exterior is a premium alternative to the common white or silver palettes, helping it stand out without compromising future resale value. This specific example represents a significant saving over new showroom prices while retaining the bulk of its mechanical lifespan.

40 TFSI S-LINE SPORTBACK vs Lower Trims

The S-Line trim is highly coveted in the GCC market for its enhanced visual package, adding more muscular front and rear bumpers, side sills, and larger alloy wheels compared to the base Progressive trim. Inside, this trim typically adds sportier seat bolsters and stainless steel pedals that elevate the cabin's premium feel. Crucially for the local climate, the S-Line also includes upgraded Matrix-design LED lighting for superior night-time visibility on unlit desert highways.

Audi A5 vs Segment Rivals

The A5 Sportback leads rivals like the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe and Mercedes-Benz CLA in cargo versatility thanks to its wide-aperture liftback design. While the CLA focuses on compact luxury, the A5 offers superior rear-seat legroom for adult passengers. Its cabin isolation is also a notable strength, providing a quieter environment during high-speed highway runs between Abu Dhabi and Dubai compared to smaller rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0L turbocharged engine returns approximately 7.1 L/100km on a combined cycle, though GCC city traffic will see closer to 9.0 L/100km. Being a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from full compatibility with local fuel grades and can be serviced at authorized Audi centers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. German luxury vehicles in this segment typically retain about 48–52% of their value after five years, making this a stable mid-term investment.

Performance & Capability

The 40 TFSI powertrain delivers a smooth 200 hp, enough to handle highway overtaking with confidence while maintaining a refined engine note. The front-wheel-drive configuration is paired with a 7-speed S-tronic dual-clutch transmission that provides near-instant gear shifts for a linear acceleration feel. While designed for the pavement, the car features multiple drive modes to adjust steering and throttle response for varying road conditions.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a showcase of Audi’s minimalist design, featuring high-quality soft-touch materials and a standard 10.1-inch MMI touch display. The three-zone climate control is specifically engineered to combat extreme GCC summer temperatures, ensuring rear passengers remain as cool as those in the front. The liftback configuration provides 465 litres of space, which expands significantly with the 40:20:40 split-folding rear seats for weekend trips to the Northern Emirates.

Safety

This A5 comes standard with a comprehensive safety suite including Audi pre-sense front, which is vital for stop-start city traffic. Lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control make long desert highway drives less fatiguing. The car also features 360-degree parking sensors and a high-definition rearview camera, essential for navigating the tight parking structures common in major GCC urban centers.

The bottom line

This listing is a prime opportunity for a professional or small family seeking the prestige of a 2024 German hatchback with low mileage and high-spec GCC equipment.
