Summary

This 2024 model represents a significant leap forward for the nameplate, featuring the refreshed front fascia and the ultra-modern BMW Curved Display. With its mild-hybrid B58 engine, it balances potent acceleration with improved efficiency in heavy city traffic—a major plus for UAE commuters. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the GCC, ensuring maximum heat reflection and a much easier resale process down the line. As an M Sport trim, it gains more aggressive styling and sharper handling that sets it apart from the standard luxury crossovers. It remains the segment leader for those who want a driver-focused SUV without sacrificing premium cabin comfort.

This Car vs Other 2024 X5s

At approximately 38,700 km, this vehicle sits slightly above the average annual mileage for a one-year-old car, though this is common for high-frequency highway use between Emirates. The white exterior is a strategic advantage in the GCC, offering the highest resale demand and better temperature management during summer peaks. For a 2024 model, the mechanical condition remains within the peak of its early lifecycle, benefiting from the latest LCI tech updates.

XDRIVE40i M SPORT vs Lower Trims

The M Sport trim upgrades the X5 with more aggressive aerodynamic bumpers, high-gloss Shadowline trim, and the signature M leather steering wheel. Unlike base models, this trim often includes the Parking Assistant Plus with a 360° surround-view camera, which is essential for navigating tight mall parking in Dubai or Riyadh. You also benefit from the M Sport suspension, providing a more planted feel during high-speed highway cruising.

X5 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Mercedes-Benz GLE or the Porsche Cayenne, the X5 leads with its integrated iDrive 8.5 software, which is widely considered the most intuitive infotainment system in the luxury class. Its 3.0-liter straight-six is smoother and more responsive than the V6 units found in many rivals, making it better suited for the fast-paced driving culture of the GCC. The inclusion of the 48V mild-hybrid system gives it a smoother stop-start experience in heavy traffic compared to non-hybrid competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The mild-hybrid system helps achieve a combined fuel consumption of roughly 8.5 to 9.0 L/100km, performing efficiently on long Abu Dhabi-Dubai runs. Service intervals are typically managed by the Condition Based Service (CBS) system, generally calling for oil changes every 12,000 to 15,000 km at authorized BMW centers like AGMC or Abu Dhabi Motors. In the GCC, the X5 retains value better than many European rivals, typically depreciating at 12–15% annually, with the M Sport trim being the most liquid on the used market.

Performance & Capability

The 340 hp turbocharged engine allows for a verified 0–100 km/h time of 5.4 seconds, providing plenty of power for confident overtaking on high-speed desert highways. The xDrive all-wheel-drive system is tuned for on-road agility but offers excellent stability on gravel tracks or wet roads during the winter season. With a top speed capped at 250 km/h, it maintains a composed and quiet cabin even at the upper limits of legal highway speeds.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is defined by the massive 14.9-inch curved touchscreen that houses the latest navigation and climate controls, reducing physical clutter. Standard four-zone climate control ensures every passenger stays cool during 45°C summers, while the panoramic sunroof adds an airy feel to the interior. The M Sport seats provide excellent lateral support, and the cabin insulation effectively blocks out road noise during long-distance cross-border trips.

Safety

This trim comes equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite, including Frontal Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and Active Blind Spot Detection, which are vital for multi-lane highway safety. The 360° camera system with 3D view provides a birds-eye perspective that makes parking this large SUV effortless. BMW’s Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) is specifically calibrated to handle the varying grip levels of sandy or dusty road surfaces common across the region.

The bottom line

This M Sport X5 is the ideal choice for a professional or family looking for a tech-heavy, performance SUV that is already optimized for the GCC climate. Given the high demand for white M Sport models, this listing represents a safe investment with excellent local market liquidity.
