Summary

This 2024 BMW X7 offers a compelling entry into flagship luxury, balancing the prestige of the M Sport package with the efficient yet potent xDrive40i powertrain. Finished in white, the most preferred resale color in the GCC, this SUV remains highly desirable for families who demand both road presence and three-row practicality. While the mileage reflects active use across the Emirates, the 2024 model year benefits from the latest iDrive 8.5 software and the updated split-headlight design that defines the modern BMW flagship. For a GCC buyer, this represents a chance to own a current-generation X7 that is mechanically optimized for long-distance cruising between cities. It stands out by offering a more car-like, agile driving experience than heavy body-on-frame competitors like the Lexus LX.

This Car vs Other 2024 X7s

With 80,000 km, this vehicle has been driven more than the typical 20,000 km annual GCC average, suggesting regular highway use which is often better for mechanical health than short city hops. The white exterior is a strategic choice for the region, offering the highest heat reflection and the strongest resale liquidity in the local market. Compared to other 2024 models, this unit provides the updated aesthetic and tech suite of the facelift at a more accessible entry point due to the mileage.

XDRIVE40i LUXURY M SPORT PACKAGE vs Lower Trims

The M Sport Package is a critical addition for GCC buyers, replacing the standard exterior chrome with aggressive Shadowline trim and adding the M Aerodynamic kit for a more commanding presence. Inside, this trim levels up with the M steering wheel and upgraded multi-contour seats that provide superior support during long drives. Unlike base models, this package also includes M Sport brakes, which offer improved thermal management and stopping power in high-temperature driving conditions.

X7 vs Segment Rivals

The X7 leads rivals like the Mercedes-Benz GLS and Range Rover in driving dynamics, utilizing its sophisticated air suspension to feel significantly more nimble on UAE highways. While the Lexus LX 600 focuses on off-road hardware, the X7 offers a superior digital experience with its massive curved display and more refined 48V mild-hybrid engine. For those prioritizing a smooth, quiet cabin during cross-border trips to Oman or Saudi Arabia, the X7's acoustic insulation is among the best in the segment.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.0-litre inline-six is highly efficient for its size, achieving roughly 10.6 L/100km on the combined cycle, which helps manage running costs despite the large fuel tank. BMW's authorized service network is extensive across the UAE and wider GCC, with major service centers in every emirate ensuring parts and expert technicians are always accessible. While European luxury SUVs typically see an annual depreciation of 12-18% in this market, the X7's high demand as a family flagship helps it maintain a more stable value than smaller luxury crossovers.

Performance & Capability

Propelled by 380 hp, the X7 reaches 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds, ensuring effortless overtaking on fast-moving highways like E11. The intelligent xDrive all-wheel-drive system works in tandem with the 2-axle air suspension to maintain perfect stability, even when encountering sand drifts or sudden rain on desert roads. With five selectable drive modes, the vehicle can instantly transition from a plush highway cruiser to a firmer, more responsive sports SUV.

Comfort & Cabin

This seven-seat configuration is designed for genuine comfort, featuring a powerful multi-zone climate control system engineered to maintain a cool cabin during 45°C summers. The BMW Curved Display dominates the dashboard, providing a 14.9-inch central hub for navigation and media that is easily readable even in direct sunlight. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated cooling vents and a panoramic sunroof that makes the massive cabin feel even more airy and spacious.

Safety

This X7 is equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite, including Frontal Collision Warning and Active Blind Spot Detection, which are vital for safety on multi-lane GCC highways. The standard 360° camera and parking sensors make navigating tight mall parking structures simple despite the vehicle's large footprint. Additionally, the Active Driving Assistant provides lane departure warnings to ensure safety during long, fatiguing desert drives.

The bottom line

For the executive family seeking the latest BMW flagship design and technology in a market-preferred color, this M Sport X7 is a smart way to secure a current-generation luxury SUV.
