Summary

This 2024 sedan offers an entry point into full electric mobility with a focus on practical city commuting. While many rivals in this segment rely on petrol, this electric powertrain provides a silent drive and significant running cost savings for daily urban use. The white exterior is the most popular choice for the GCC, ensuring better heat reflection during the summer months and maintaining the strongest resale potential in the local market. For those looking for a modern daily driver, this trim balances cabin technology with a surprisingly large cargo area for its class. It is a smart choice for buyers transitioning to EVs who prioritize efficiency and straightforward maintenance.

This Car vs Other 2024 Arrizo 3s

As a 2024 model, this vehicle benefits from the latest battery management software updates provided by the manufacturer. While most examples in the region feature petrol engines, this electric variant represents a rare opportunity to secure a zero-emissions commuter with negligible mileage. The white finish is a strategic advantage, as it is highly favored by second-hand buyers across the UAE and Saudi Arabia for its durability under the sun.

LUXURY vs Lower Trims

The Luxury trim upgrades the experience with key features like cruise control and a more advanced infotainment suite compared to the Basic versions. It also typically includes higher-quality seat upholstery and chrome exterior accents that give the sedan a more premium road presence. These additions are particularly valued in the GCC market, where tech-heavy trims tend to hold their value better than entry-level specifications.

Arrizo 3 vs Segment Rivals

The Arrizo 3 competes with the likes of the Toyota Yaris and Nissan Sunny, leading the segment in cargo capacity with a massive 502-litre boot. Unlike its traditional petrol competitors, this EV model offers instant torque for better stop-start city performance and lower vibrations. Its compact turning circle also makes it significantly easier to navigate tight parking structures in Dubai or Riyadh compared to larger crossovers.

Running Costs & Resale

Running costs are exceptionally low, with electric charging costs significantly undercutting the price of fuel for equivalent daily distances. The vehicle uses an LFP-based battery system known for its durability in high-temperature environments. Chery has expanded its authorized service network across the UAE and wider GCC, ensuring reliable parts availability. While European luxury EVs often face steep initial depreciation, this compact sedan follows a more stable curve similar to budget-friendly Japanese rivals.

Performance & Capability

The electric motor delivers smooth, linear acceleration suited for urban highway merging and city traffic. With a peak range of 455 km on the NEDC cycle, it easily handles a full week of commuting between Sharjah and Dubai on a single charge. The regenerative braking system helps recover energy during traffic, further extending the real-world range. Its rear-wheel-drive configuration provides a balanced handling characteristic rarely found in the compact economy segment.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for five passengers, featuring a user-friendly layout with a focus on cooling performance essential for the GCC climate. Powerful air conditioning and dedicated vents ensure the interior reaches comfortable temperatures quickly even after being parked in the sun. The electric powertrain removes engine heat and noise from the equation, resulting in a much quieter cabin environment during long highway drives compared to petrol alternatives.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on this trim includes dual front airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD). It also features ISOFIX child seat anchors and rear parking sensors, which are crucial for navigating busy urban areas. The stability control system provides an extra layer of security on sandy or occasionally wet road surfaces common during the winter months.

The bottom line

Perfect for the eco-conscious city professional, this Arrizo 3 offers the practicality of a large-boot sedan with the modern efficiency of an EV. It represents a high-value opportunity to skip the fuel pump while securing a vehicle with strong local resale characteristics.
