Summary

This Chery Arrizo 5 represents a smart entry into the sedan market, offering modern aesthetics and high-efficiency driving that perfectly suits the GCC commute. As a 2027 model with low mileage, it provides a contemporary driving experience with the peace of mind that comes from a vehicle designed for daily durability. Silver remains one of the most resilient resale colors in the region, effectively masking road dust and reflecting harsh summer heat. Compared to its rivals, it packs high-end features like leather seats into a budget-friendly package, making it an excellent choice for city professionals. The balance of fuel economy and cabin technology makes this a standout opportunity for those seeking a reliable and well-equipped daily driver.

This Car vs Other 2027 Arrizo 5s

With mileage significantly below the GCC annual average of 25,000 km, this unit stands out as a near-new example of Chery’s popular sedan. The Silver exterior is a strategic choice for the local market, offering superior heat rejection and strong resale demand compared to darker tones. Choosing a 2027 model ensures you are benefiting from the latest assembly standards and updated software for the infotainment system.

COMFORT vs Lower Trims

The Comfort trim is a significant step up from the base model, replacing standard cloth with premium artificial leather seats that are far better suited to the GCC climate. It also adds the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with essential smartphone mirroring via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety is enhanced in this trim with the inclusion of cruise control and a rear-view camera, features that make long highway stretches between Emirates much easier.

Arrizo 5 vs Segment Rivals

When measured against the MG 5 and Nissan Sunny, the Arrizo 5 leads with a wider body stance of 1,825 mm, providing superior shoulder room for three rear passengers. Its 430-litre boot capacity is highly competitive, offering practical space for family grocery runs or weekend travel gear. Additionally, the standard inclusion of a leather-wrapped interior at this price point gives it a more premium cabin feel than the fabric-heavy base trims of its competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

This sedan is exceptionally light on the wallet, achieving an official combined fuel economy of 18.1 km/L, which translates to fewer stops at the pump during stop-start Dubai or Riyadh traffic. Chery has expanded its authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with typical service intervals occurring every 5,000 to 10,000 km. While Japanese rivals traditionally hold value longer, the Arrizo 5’s low initial cost and high feature set result in a lower total cost of ownership over the first three years.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder engine producing 115 hp, the Arrizo 5 is optimized for smooth, predictable power delivery in urban environments. The CVT automatic transmission is tuned for efficiency, helping the car reach a top speed of 180 km/h with stability. It handles long highway drives with ease, providing enough mid-range torque for safe overtaking while maintaining impressive fuel discipline.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is focused on everyday GCC usability, featuring automatic air conditioning that is engineered to handle peak summer temperatures. The 5-seat layout is surprisingly spacious thanks to the 2,670 mm wheelbase, offering ample legroom for both front and rear occupants. The 8-inch central display acts as a tech hub, while the leather seating adds a layer of refinement that is easy to clean and maintain in a dusty environment.

Safety

Safety is prioritized with a suite that includes dual front airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is a vital addition for GCC drivers, ensuring safety during high-temperature highway runs. Rear parking sensors and a high-definition camera facilitate easy maneuvering in tight city parking spots.

The bottom line

For the value-conscious buyer in the UAE, this 2027 Arrizo 5 Comfort offers a near-new car experience with a premium leather interior at a fraction of the cost of its Japanese rivals.
