Summary

This 2024 Tiggo 8 Pro Max is a compelling choice in the seven-seat SUV segment, offering a modern aesthetic and premium interior that punches well above its price point. With mileage slightly above the typical GCC annual average, it has been primarily highway-driven, which is ideal for maintaining its turbocharged powertrain. The green exterior is a unique, sophisticated choice that stands out in a sea of monochrome rivals, though it remains a neutral factor for regional resale. For the UAE and wider GCC buyer, this trim offers the perfect balance of cabin cooling and advanced safety tech, making it a robust family cruiser for the heat of the summer and long inter-emirate journeys. Backed by a growing and reliable authorized service network, it represents a high-value entry into the large SUV market.

This Car vs Other 2024 Tiggo 8 Pro Maxs

With just over 32,000 km, this vehicle’s usage is slightly higher than the 20,000–25,000 km GCC annual average, indicating it has likely served as a dedicated highway commuter. In the local market, these highway kilometers are often preferred over stop-start city mileage as they put less strain on the cooling and braking systems. The unique green finish offers a distinctive alternative to the common white and silver models frequently seen on UAE roads.

COMFORT vs Lower Trims

The Comfort trim serves as a well-appointed entry to the Pro Max range, providing standard features that many rivals only offer as expensive options. It includes the essential dual 12.3-inch screen setup and the critical ventilated front seats required for the GCC climate. Unlike base models in other markets, this GCC-spec Comfort trim retains the high-resolution 360-degree camera system and artificial leather upholstery, ensuring a premium feel without the top-tier price tag.

Tiggo 8 Pro Max vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Mitsubishi Outlander or Nissan X-Trail, the Tiggo 8 Pro Max leads with a more potent 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, delivering significantly more torque for highway overtaking. Its cabin technology, featuring the expansive digital cockpit, feels a generation ahead of standard Japanese rivals in the same price bracket. Additionally, the standard inclusion of three-zone climate control ensures that third-row passengers stay cool during peak GCC summer months.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel consumption is efficient for a seven-seater, averaging approximately 13.7 km/L under mixed driving conditions, though this will vary in dense Dubai or Riyadh traffic. Chery has significantly strengthened its GCC presence with AW Rostamani in the UAE and Sanabel Modern Motors in Saudi Arabia, ensuring parts availability and professional servicing across the region. While Chinese SUVs generally see higher initial depreciation than Japanese mainstays, the Tiggo 8 Pro Max has shown a stable value retention pattern of approximately 48-52% over three years as brand trust continues to grow.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine is the standout performer, producing a verified 375 Nm of torque that makes the vehicle feel surprisingly agile for its size. The Four Wheel Drive system provides necessary stability during heavy seasonal rains or when navigating sand-slicked tarmac on desert-bordering highways. With selectable drive modes, the automatic transmission can be tuned for fuel efficiency or more responsive power delivery during cross-country trips.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat layout is versatile, with the dual 12.3-inch displays creating a high-tech focal point for the driver. To combat extreme regional heat, the air conditioning system is robustly engineered, supported by dedicated vents for rear passengers and standard ventilated front seats. Cabin insulation is particularly impressive, utilizing acoustic materials to minimize wind noise during high-speed highway cruising between emirates.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive, featuring a high-strength steel body structure and a full suite of airbags standard on this trim. The 360-degree camera system is a vital tool for parking in tight urban spaces like Dubai Mall, while the tire pressure monitoring system provides peace of mind during long, high-temperature desert drives. Adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist are also present, significantly reducing driver fatigue on long-haul regional routes.

The bottom line

This Tiggo 8 Pro Max is ideal for a growing family seeking luxury-level technology and cooling performance at a fraction of the cost of traditional rivals. It is a smart, high-value opportunity for a buyer who prioritizes features and modern safety for their daily GCC commute.
