Summary

This 2024 GAC GS3 GE is a standout choice for urban drivers across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, offering a high-tech cabin in a compact, parkable footprint. With two years of age and mileage that reflects consistent use on regional highways, it has already proven its reliability in our local climate. The GE trim is particularly sought after in the GCC market for adding premium tech like the 360-degree camera, which makes navigating tight city spots effortless. Finished in a vibrant Red that retains strong resale appeal for younger buyers, this SUV offers a more modern interior than many of its long-standing segment rivals. For a buyer looking to step into a current-generation crossover without the new-car depreciation, this listing provides excellent mechanical value and tech features.

This Car vs Other 2024 GAC GS3s

With 56,082 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits slightly above the average annual mileage for GCC sub-compact SUVs, which typically covers 20,000 to 25,000 km per year. This mileage suggests a history of efficient highway commuting between emirates rather than taxing stop-start city idling, indicating a well-exercised engine. The Red exterior is a distinctive choice that stands out in a market dominated by white and silver, often commanding a quicker sale among private buyers looking for a more personalized aesthetic.

GE vs Lower Trims

Choosing the GE trim over the base GS significantly upgrades the daily driving experience with essential tech for the region, most notably the 360-degree camera system. Inside, the GE features higher-quality synthetic leather upholstery and a larger infotainment display with integrated smartphone connectivity, which is a major draw for GCC buyers. It also includes keyless entry and a push-button start, features that add a layer of modern convenience often missing from entry-level competitors.

GS3 vs Segment Rivals

The GS3 competes directly with the MG ZS and Nissan Kicks, leading the segment in perceived interior material quality and standard tech features for the price. While the Kicks focuses on brand heritage, the GS3 offers a more punchy turbocharged engine that provides better highway overtaking confidence on roads like the E11. Its cabin is designed with superior heat insulation, a critical factor for maintaining comfort during the peak GCC summer months.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel economy for the 1.3L turbo engine averages around 7.0 L/100km, offering a budget-friendly commute even with the air conditioning running at full capacity. Authorized service centers are well-established across the UAE via Gargash and in Saudi Arabia via Aljomaih, ensuring specialized parts and diagnostic tools are always accessible. While Chinese brands typically see higher initial depreciation than Japanese rivals, the GS3 holds its value better than most in its class due to its high standard feature list and growing brand trust in the local market.

Performance & Capability

The 1.3-liter turbocharged engine delivers a surprisingly responsive 135 horsepower, which feels energetic when pulling away from lights or merging onto fast-moving GCC motorways. The 6-speed automatic transmission is tuned for smooth shifting in urban traffic, avoiding the 'hunting' common in some smaller-displacement rivals. While front-wheel drive, the GS3 offers enough ground clearance to handle gravel tracks and unpaved parking areas common in developing suburban communities across the region.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is surprisingly spacious for a sub-compact crossover, featuring a flat rear floor that makes the second row genuinely usable for three adults. The air conditioning system is specifically calibrated for Middle Eastern heat, featuring dedicated rear vents that ensure the entire family stays cool during long drives. Sound deadening is a highlight for this model year, providing a quiet environment that allows the premium 6-speaker audio system to shine even at highway speeds.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive on the GE trim, featuring a 5-star safety rating and a suite of active systems including Electronic Stability Control and Hill-Start Assist, which provide extra security on sandy or inclined surfaces. In addition to the 360-degree camera, the car is equipped with rear parking sensors and multiple airbags, ensuring high levels of protection for all five occupants. These features are standard on the GE, whereas they are often relegated to expensive optional packages on many segment competitors.

The bottom line

Perfect for the tech-conscious city dweller, this GS3 GE offers a near-new driving experience and a high-spec cabin at a significant saving over a showroom-fresh model.
