Summary

This 2024 GMC Hummer EV 3X represents the cutting edge of electric mobility in the GCC, offering a rare combination of 1000 hp performance and zero-emissions efficiency. With incredibly low mileage for its first year, this vehicle is essentially in showroom condition and bypasses the lengthy waiting lists often associated with this specific trim. The black exterior is the most sought-after resale color in the UAE and wider region, ensuring that this truck maintains a strong value profile over time. Unlike many American-spec imports found in the local market, this is a genuine GCC-spec unit, meaning its cooling systems and battery management software are specifically calibrated for the extreme heat of the Arabian Peninsula. For the buyer who wants the most capable off-road platform ever built without the maintenance overhead of a high-displacement petrol engine, this listing is an unmatched opportunity. Ownership of a Hummer EV in the Middle East provides a unique social and mechanical statement that no other electric pickup can currently match.

This Car vs Other 2024 Hummer EVs

When looking at the current 2024 market in the GCC, this specific vehicle stands out due to its exceptionally low mileage of just 5000 km. While the average driver in the region covers upwards of 20,000 km per year, this unit has barely completed its break-in period, offering the next owner a virtually new experience. The black-on-black color scheme is a major strategic advantage for the local market, as it remains the highest-demand palette for high-end trucks in Dubai and Riyadh, facilitating a much faster resale process later on. Being a 2024 model, it benefits from the latest software refinements implemented by GMC for the 3X platform, ensuring smoother power delivery than earlier launch editions. Most 2024 units currently available have either seen significant desert use or were brought in as non-GCC imports; this vehicle avoids both those common pitfalls. It represents a clean, low-use example that is perfectly positioned for a discerning collector or a daily driver who demands perfection.

3X vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to the 3X trim is a transformative decision for any GCC buyer, as it unlocks the full 1000 hp potential and the sophisticated three-motor e4WD system that defines the Hummer EV experience. While lower trims may offer sufficient power, the 3X adds the torque vectoring capabilities that are essential for maintaining stability on high-speed desert highways and during technical off-road climbs. This trim also includes the premium interior package as standard, featuring high-grade materials and ventilated seats that are non-negotiable for comfort during the intense summer months in the Middle East. You also get the advanced suspension system with Extract Mode, allowing the truck to raise itself significantly to clear obstacles that would stop a standard pickup in its tracks. The 3X specifically caters to the luxury-truck segment by including the high-fidelity Bose audio system and the full suite of digital displays that are often simplified in base configurations. By choosing this trim, you are securing the maximum capability and luxury the Hummer brand provides, ensuring no feature is left off the table.

Hummer EV vs Segment Rivals

The GMC Hummer EV occupies a unique space in the market, standing well above traditional electric offerings like the Rivian R1T or the Ford F-150 Lightning in terms of sheer presence and off-road geometry. While rivals focus on utility, the Hummer EV leads with a 1000 hp output that dwarfs any other production electric truck currently available in the GCC. Its ground clearance and approach angles are superior to almost any petrol-powered SUV, making it more capable in the Liwa dunes than vehicles half its size. For the long highway stretches between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, its massive battery pack provides a range that competes with the best in the segment, while its fast-charging architecture is perfectly suited for the UAE’s rapidly expanding 350kW charging network. The inclusion of the four-wheel steering system, which allows the famous CrabWalk, gives it a turning circle tighter than many small sedans, a feat its competitors simply cannot match. It is not just an electric truck; it is a super-truck that redefines what a 4x4 can be.

Running Costs & Resale

Operating an electric vehicle of this magnitude in the GCC offers a significant financial advantage when it comes to daily running costs compared to high-displacement V8 or V12 alternatives. With electricity rates in the UAE and Saudi Arabia being highly competitive, the cost per kilometer is a fraction of what a traditional petrol super-truck would require, especially in start-stop city traffic. Service intervals for the Hummer EV are much wider than petrol vehicles because there are no oil changes, spark plugs, or complex transmission filters to replace, leading to much lower long-term maintenance bills. In terms of resale, GCC-spec Hummer EVs have shown remarkable value retention due to their high demand and limited local allocation through authorized dealers like Al Ghandi and Bin Hamoodah. While luxury European SUVs might lose up to 18% of their value annually, the exclusivity of the 3X trim helps it stay at the top of the price curve. This black 2024 model is positioned to be one of the most liquid assets in the used EV market over the next three years.

Performance & Capability

The performance of the 3X trim is frankly staggering, with the Watts to Freedom (WTF) mode enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in approximately 3 seconds, a figure that puts it in the company of dedicated supercars. On the open highways of the GCC, this translates to effortless overtaking and a level of acceleration that defies the vehicle's substantial physical presence. The three-motor system provides instantaneous torque to each wheel, which is a massive advantage when navigating soft sand where maintaining momentum is critical to avoid getting stuck. Its towing capacity is world-class, allowing for the transport of large marine craft or desert trailers with ease, while the air suspension handles the load without compromising ride quality. The four-wheel steering system is a game-changer for urban driving in cities like Doha or Dubai, making parking and tight maneuvers surprisingly simple for a vehicle of this size. Whether you are climbing a mountain in Ras Al Khaimah or cruising the boulevard, the performance is always smooth, silent, and immensely powerful.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside the Hummer EV, you are greeted by a cabin designed to handle the extremes of the GCC climate while providing a tech-forward luxury experience. The five-seat layout offers massive amounts of legroom and shoulder room, ensuring that all passengers travel in absolute comfort even on long cross-country drives. The air conditioning system is remarkably powerful, engineered to cool the large cabin volume quickly even after the truck has been parked in the direct sun. Ventilated seats are standard on the 3X, providing essential cooling for the driver and front passenger during the hottest months of the year. The Infinity Roof with transparent Sky Panels allows you to enjoy the stars during winter night drives through the desert, while still providing excellent heat insulation during the day. Acoustic glass and thick insulation keep the cabin serene, shielding occupants from wind noise and the bustle of city traffic. The Bose Surround Sound system is specifically tuned for this interior, providing an immersive audio experience that complements the silent electric powertrain.

Safety

Safety in the 2024 Hummer EV is managed by one of the most advanced sensor suites ever fitted to a pickup truck. It features a comprehensive 360-degree camera system with up to 18 different views, including underbody cameras that are invaluable for spotting rocks while off-roading or navigating tight spaces in the city. The suite includes advanced ADAS features like autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring, which are vital for the fast-paced multi-lane highway environment of the GCC. Adaptive Cruise Control makes the long hauls between emirates significantly less taxing, maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles automatically. The structural integrity of the Ultium battery chassis provides a low center of gravity, which greatly reduces the risk of a rollover compared to traditional high-clearance trucks. Every aspect of the vehicle is designed to protect its five occupants, making it one of the safest and most robust choices for family adventures in the region.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec 1000 hp 3X is the perfect acquisition for a buyer who wants the ultimate flagship EV without the wait, specifically in a high-resale black finish. It offers a unique opportunity to own a near-new piece of automotive history that is equally at home on the dunes as it is at a luxury hotel valet.
