Summary

This 2024 Haval Jolion PLUS is a standout choice in the compact SUV market, offering a modern aesthetic and high-tech cabin that punches well above its price point. At two years old with just 32,735 km, it has been driven significantly less than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual GCC average, suggesting well-preserved mechanical health. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the region, ensuring better heat reflection during peak summer and stronger resale value when you decide to trade up. With its balanced turbocharged performance and premium trim features, this GCC-spec crossover is perfectly suited for both daily Dubai commuting and cross-emirate highway runs.

This Car vs Other 2024 Haval Jolions

With a mileage of 32,735 km over two years, this vehicle sits comfortably below the expected usage for a GCC-based car, where long highway commutes often result in higher odometer readings. While many 2024 models in the market may have already crossed the 45,000 km mark, this example represents a lower-wear opportunity. The white exterior is not just a practical choice for the desert sun, but also serves as the most liquid asset in the secondary market, holding its value better than darker or niche colors.

PLUS vs Lower Trims

The PLUS trim adds essential comfort and aesthetic upgrades over the base Active model, most notably the transition to a more premium cabin finish and larger 10.25-inch infotainment display. Buyers in the GCC will appreciate the upgraded LED lighting package and the addition of more safety sensors which are often omitted in entry-level versions. It bridges the gap between basic utility and the high-luxury Top trim, providing the best balance of features like keyless entry and a leather-wrapped steering wheel without the excessive premium.

Haval Jolion vs Segment Rivals

When compared to rivals like the MG ZS or the Geely Coolray, the Jolion leads with a notably longer 2,700mm wheelbase, resulting in superior rear legroom that makes it a more viable family vehicle for long drives to Oman or Abu Dhabi. Its 1.5L turbocharged engine offers competitive efficiency, while the cabin's digital-first architecture feels more modern than the more traditional interiors found in Japanese sub-compact SUVs like the Toyota Raize. The Jolion’s generous ground clearance also gives it a slight edge for those occasional weekend drives on gravel or unpaved tracks.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 1.5L turbo typically ranges between 7.0 and 8.2 L/100km, offering a budget-friendly operation for daily city traffic. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from a growing authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with standard service intervals usually set at every 10,000 km or 12 months. While Chinese brands face faster initial depreciation than established Japanese rivals, the Jolion has stabilized as a popular choice in the UAE, retaining a higher percentage of its value than earlier models due to its strong reliability record and feature density.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a punchy 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine producing 147 hp and 210 Nm of torque, the Jolion delivers smooth acceleration through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. This setup is particularly effective for highway overtaking and maintaining comfort at high cruising speeds. The 190 mm ground clearance is ample for navigating high speed bumps and sand-drifted coastal roads, while the front-wheel-drive configuration ensures the best possible fuel efficiency for urban dwellers. It is a refined road-biased crossover that prioritizes passenger comfort and stable handling over extreme off-road performance.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is designed for the high-temperature GCC climate, featuring a powerful air conditioning system and dedicated rear vents to keep all five passengers cool. The PLUS trim includes high-quality synthetic leather seats and a digital cockpit that remains visible even in direct sunlight. Generous acoustic insulation helps reduce road noise on long highway stretches, while the flat rear floor provides comfortable seating for three adults in the back. The 337-litre boot is expandable to over 1,100 litres, making it versatile enough for a full grocery run or weekend luggage for the whole family.

Safety

The 2024 Haval Jolion comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including multiple airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and Traction Control to maintain grip on dusty or wet surfaces. Useful for the region's fast-paced highways are the standard Rear View Camera and parking sensors, which simplify navigation in tight mall parking lots. The vehicle's architecture is built on the high-strength LEMON platform, designed to meet rigorous global crash safety standards, providing peace of mind for family-oriented buyers.

The bottom line

For a buyer seeking a near-new SUV experience without the new-car price tag, this low-mileage, GCC-spec Jolion PLUS offers the perfect mix of modern tech and regional practicality.
