Summary

This 2024 Hyundai Azera Exclusive represents a significant step up in luxury for the flagship Korean sedan, offering a premium white finish that holds its value exceptionally well in the UAE market. With just over 100,000 km, this vehicle has been primarily used for the long-distance highway commutes it was designed to handle with ease. The 3.5-litre V6 provides a level of refinement and overtaking power that 4-cylinder rivals simply cannot match. For a GCC buyer, this trim strikes the perfect balance between executive features and sensible maintenance. It remains a standout choice for those who prioritize a quiet, cooled cabin and a commanding road presence during the intense summer months.

This Car vs Other 2024 Azeras

While 101,000 km is higher than the global annual average, it is considered typical for executive sedans in the GCC that frequently travel between emirates. The white exterior is the most sought-after color for resale in the region, offering superior heat reflection and maintaining a cleaner appearance in dusty conditions. Choosing this specific unit allows you to benefit from the early depreciation of a new-generation model while securing a highly reliable V6 powertrain.

EXCLUSIVE vs Lower Trims

The Exclusive trim elevates the Azera experience with essential GCC comforts not found on base models, most notably the ventilated front seats which are a necessity for local summers. It also adds a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree surround cameras, and integrated memory seating for the driver. These upgrades significantly improve daily liveability and ensure the car remains competitive against European luxury brands at the point of resale.

Azera vs Segment Rivals

The Azera leads rivals like the Toyota Avalon and Nissan Maxima in cabin technology, featuring a futuristic 12.3-inch digital cockpit as standard. Its 70-litre fuel tank provides a greater touring range than many competitors, making it the preferred choice for those traveling between Dubai and Riyadh. Furthermore, the newer seventh-generation design offers more rear legroom than similarly priced executive sedans in the segment.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.5-litre V6 is optimized for GCC conditions, utilizing an 8-speed automatic transmission to keep fuel consumption efficient during highway cruising. Hyundai’s extensive authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia ensures that parts are readily available and maintenance is cost-effective compared to luxury German rivals. The Azera traditionally retains about 60% of its value over three years, making it a stable asset in the regional used car market.

Performance & Capability

Equipped with the Smartstream V6, this sedan delivers 300 hp and 359 Nm of torque, resulting in a smooth 0-100 km/h sprint in roughly 7.5 seconds. The front-wheel-drive platform is tuned for stability at high highway speeds, providing a composed ride even during crosswinds on open desert roads. The dedicated drive modes allow the steering and throttle response to be sharpened for city traffic or relaxed for long-distance cruising.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is a high-tech sanctuary featuring a dual-screen digital layout and premium leather upholstery. Dual-zone climate control with dedicated rear vents ensures all five passengers stay cool, while acoustic glass insulation significantly reduces road noise at highway speeds. The 515-litre boot space is ample for airport runs or family weekend trips, easily accommodating multiple full-sized suitcases.

Safety

Standard on the Exclusive trim is the full SmartSense ADAS suite, which includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist and Blind-Spot Monitoring—critical for the fast-moving multi-lane traffic found in the GCC. It also features Lane Keeping Assist and a 360-degree camera system to simplify parking in tight urban spaces. A comprehensive multi-airbag system provides peace of mind for family-oriented buyers.

The bottom line

For the executive who needs a modern, feature-packed flagship with a proven V6 engine, this Azera Exclusive is a sophisticated alternative to the usual Japanese and German staples.
