Summary

This 2024 Infiniti QX50 SPORT represents a remarkable opportunity to own a nearly-new premium SUV with exceptionally low mileage that is far below the typical GCC annual average. As a SPORT trim, it bridges the gap between everyday utility and high-end executive styling, featuring blacked-out exterior accents that pair perfectly with the professional Grey finish—a color known for its excellent heat-deflection properties and strong resale demand in the UAE. This model stands out in the crowded luxury crossover segment by offering the world's first mass-production variable compression turbo engine, providing a unique balance of power and efficiency that rivals struggle to match. For a buyer in the GCC, this vehicle offers the peace of mind associated with a regional spec car, ensuring the cooling systems and air conditioning are specifically engineered to withstand the intense summer heat of the Arabian Peninsula. It is a sophisticated choice for those who value modern technology and a refined cabin experience over raw off-road performance. Owning a vehicle with such low usage essentially provides a showroom-fresh experience with the advantage of avoiding the initial steepest depreciation curve.

This Car vs Other 2024 QX50s

When comparing this specific unit to other 2024 QX50 models currently on the market in the GCC, the primary differentiator is the remarkably low odometer reading. With only 3,819 km, this vehicle has barely completed its initial break-in period, whereas the average 2024 model in the UAE or Saudi Arabia would typically have covered between 15,000 and 20,000 km by this stage. The Grey exterior is a strategic choice for the region; it is far more practical than darker tones for hiding the fine desert dust and maintains its finish better under the intense UV radiation common in our climate. Being a GCC spec car, it retains its full value and appeal compared to imported American or European models which often face challenges with warranty validities and navigation map compatibility. This listing sits at the very top tier of the used market for this model year, offering a virtually pristine interior and mechanical state. It represents a 'zero-compromise' purchase for a buyer who wants the latest model year without the wait times often associated with new dealership deliveries.

SPORT vs Lower Trims

Choosing the SPORT trim over the entry-level LUXE or PURE variants significantly elevates the aesthetic and functional appeal of the QX50. This trim introduces the striking 20-inch dark-painted alloy wheels and a distinctive black-gloss grille that gives the car a much more aggressive and modern presence on the road. Inside, the SPORT trim is where the luxury truly becomes apparent, adding the Bose Performance Series 12-speaker audio system which provides an immersive acoustic experience that lower trims lack. You also benefit from the Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, a feature that is indispensable for navigating tight parking spots in Dubai's malls or Riyadh's busy districts. The cooling systems are also enhanced here, with ventilated front seats providing essential relief during the peak summer months, a feature often omitted in the base configurations. Furthermore, the SPORT trim includes enhanced interior ambient lighting and premium leather-appointed seating with unique stitching that reinforces the vehicle's position as a luxury crossover.

QX50 vs Segment Rivals

In the competitive landscape of the GCC, the QX50 SPORT frequently goes head-to-head with the Lexus NX, BMW X3, and Audi Q5. Where the Infiniti takes a clear lead is in its innovative VC-Turbo engine technology, which can physically change its compression ratio to prioritize either fuel economy or performance depending on your throttle input. While the Lexus NX is a popular regional choice for its reliability, the QX50 offers a more futuristic interior layout and a more engaging turbocharged driving experience. Compared to the German rivals, the Infiniti provides a significantly higher level of standard equipment at this trim level, whereas many European competitors require expensive optional packages for features like adaptive cruise control or a 360-degree camera. The QX50 also boasts a sliding and reclining second row, providing more flexible legroom for adult passengers than most in its class, making it a superior choice for family road trips between emirates. Its cabin insulation is also specifically tuned to minimize road noise on the high-speed highways that define the GCC driving experience.

Running Costs & Resale

The running costs for the QX50 are highly competitive within the premium segment, thanks largely to the efficiency of the 2.0L 4-cylinder engine which averages approximately 9.0L per 100km in mixed GCC driving conditions. In the stop-start traffic of major cities like Dubai or Muscat, the variable compression technology works to keep fuel consumption surprisingly low for a vehicle of this size. Maintenance is straightforward, with a wide network of authorized Infiniti service centers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring that parts and expert technicians are always within reach. The service interval is typically every 10,000 km or 6 months, which is standard for the region and helps maintain the vehicle's long-term health in high temperatures. Historically, Infiniti models in the GCC show a steady depreciation curve of roughly 12-15% annually, which is better than many of its European counterparts. Because this is a 2024 model with very low mileage and GCC specifications, it is expected to hold a high percentage of its value over the next three to five years, especially if the service history remains documented by the agency.

Performance & Capability

The centerpiece of the performance suite is the 268-horsepower VC-Turbo engine, which delivers a punchy 380 Nm of torque. This torque is particularly useful for merging onto fast-moving UAE highways or overtaking during long-distance drives across the desert. The 0-100 km/h sprint is achieved in roughly 6.7 seconds, providing a level of responsiveness that makes city driving effortless. While this is a Front Wheel Drive (FWD) model, it is perfectly suited for the paved urban environments and inter-city highways that make up 99% of GCC driving, offering better fuel efficiency and lower maintenance than its AWD siblings. The ground clearance of 218 mm is generous for a crossover, allowing it to navigate high speed bumps and gravel tracks leading to weekend farmhouses or beach spots with ease. The transmission is a refined CVT that has been specifically tuned to mimic traditional gear changes, providing a smooth and linear power delivery that enhances cabin serenity. Whether you are commuting through the heat of the day or cruising at night, the powertrain remains composed and thermally efficient.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin of the QX50 SPORT is a sanctuary designed for the demanding GCC climate, featuring a dual-zone automatic temperature control system that is widely regarded as one of the most powerful in its class. The seats are ergonomically sculpted for long-distance comfort, and the 4-seat configuration ensures every passenger has ample personal space and shoulder room. High-quality materials like brushed aluminum and soft-touch leather-appointed surfaces are used throughout, reflecting Infiniti’s 'Omotenashi' hospitality philosophy. The Bose 12-speaker system is standard on this trim, transforming long drives into a private concert experience with active noise cancellation to drown out exterior wind and tire noise. Cargo space is equally impressive, with a boot that can expand significantly thanks to the sliding rear bench, easily accommodating large grocery hauls or luggage for a family airport run. Large panoramic windows and a sunroof provide an airy feel, though the high-quality sunshades ensure the cabin stays cool even under the direct midday sun. Every touchpoint feels substantial, reinforcing the premium nature of the SPORT trim.

Safety

Safety is a hallmark of the 2024 QX50, which carries a 5-Star NCAP rating and comes equipped with the comprehensive ProPILOT Assist suite as standard on the SPORT trim. This includes Intelligent Cruise Control and Steering Assist, which are absolute game-changers for the long, straight highways between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, reducing driver fatigue significantly. You are also protected by Blind Spot Intervention and Lane Departure Prevention, which are vital features given the fast-paced and multi-lane nature of GCC traffic. The Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection adds an extra layer of security in dense urban environments like Riyadh or Doha. Additionally, the Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Rear Automatic Braking make reversing out of parking bays much safer, especially in busy commercial areas. Unlike many rivals where these systems are optional extras, Infiniti includes this full suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) to ensure maximum protection for all occupants. The vehicle’s chassis is also reinforced with high-tensile steel to provide a rigid safety cell in the event of an impact.

The bottom line

This 2024 Infiniti QX50 SPORT is the ideal choice for a professional or a small family looking for a near-new, high-spec luxury SUV without the new-car price tag. Given its extremely low mileage and GCC-spec status, it represents one of the most secure and value-retentive investments currently available on the used market.
