Summary

This 2024 Infiniti QX55 SENSORY is a standout find in the GCC market, representing a rare opportunity to own a virtually new vehicle with delivery mileage. As the top-tier trim, the SENSORY grade transforms the driving experience with premium materials and sophisticated technology that outshines rivals in the premium crossover segment. The striking Blue exterior is a sophisticated choice for the UAE, offering a distinctive look while maintaining strong resale appeal for those seeking something beyond the common monochrome palette. In the GCC, where the demand for stylish yet reliable daily drivers is high, this model bridges the gap between a performance-oriented coupe and a practical SUV perfectly. Its efficient turbocharged engine is ideally suited for the high-speed traffic flow of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, while the GCC-specific cooling system ensures peak performance during the intense summer months. This vehicle offers the ultimate balance of factory-fresh reliability, high-end luxury features, and the peace of mind that comes with a regional specification car.

This Car vs Other 2024 QX55s

When comparing this specific unit to other 2024 QX55s available in the GCC, the primary advantage is the exceptional condition indicated by its 50 km odometer reading. While the average 2024 model might have already accumulated several thousand kilometers through daily commutes between emirates, this vehicle remains in showroom condition. The Blue exterior provides a refreshing alternative to the standard white or silver options usually found in local inventories, which helps it stand out in the second-hand market without sacrificing long-term value. Being a GCC-spec model, it is fully optimized for local conditions, whereas some imports may lack the necessary radiator and air conditioning upgrades required for the harsh Arabian heat. Choosing this specific car means getting the benefits of a brand-new vehicle including a full factory warranty and service history that has not even reached its first interval. It is essentially a new car without the initial depreciation hit typically seen the moment a vehicle leaves the dealership lot.

SENSORY vs Lower Trims

Moving up to the SENSORY trim level provides a significant leap in both luxury and technology compared to the LUXE or ESSENTIAL grades. The most noticeable upgrade is the inclusion of a premium Bose Performance Series audio system with 16 speakers, designed specifically to deliver concert-hall quality sound even at high highway speeds. Inside, the SENSORY trim features upgraded semi-aniline leather-appointed seating which offers superior breathability and comfort during long, hot GCC drives. It also adds a comprehensive Head-Up Display (HUD) and an advanced Tri-Zone Automatic Temperature Control system, ensuring that every passenger stays cool regardless of the outside temperature. This trim also incorporates the Motion-Activated Liftgate, a convenience feature that GCC families find indispensable during weekly grocery trips or school runs. By choosing the SENSORY, you are also securing the most advanced lighting package available, featuring unique 'Cube' LED headlights that provide superior visibility on unlit desert roads.

QX55 vs Segment Rivals

The QX55 competes in the highly contested luxury crossover coupe segment, going head-to-head with the BMW X4 and the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe. Where the Infiniti takes a decisive lead is in its standard feature set; while German rivals often require expensive optional packages for advanced driver assistance, the SENSORY trim includes these as standard. The cabin cooling efficiency of the Infiniti is also specifically noted by GCC owners for being more robust and faster-acting than its European counterparts, a critical factor during July and August. Additionally, the QX55 offers a more generous cargo area relative to its sloping roofline, making it more practical for weekend getaways to Ras Al Khaimah or Fujairah. The VC-Turbo engine technology provides a unique blend of power and fuel efficiency that rivals find difficult to match with traditional fixed-compression engines. For the GCC buyer, the Infiniti also represents a lower cost of long-term maintenance compared to many European brands, with a more accessible parts network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Running Costs & Resale

Operating the QX55 in the GCC is surprisingly economical thanks to its 2.0L Variable Compression Turbo engine, which delivers approximately 8.5 to 9.0 L/100km on long highway stretches like the E11. In stop-start city traffic in Riyadh or Dubai, the engine automatically adjusts to optimize fuel consumption, making it a smart choice for daily commuters. Service intervals are typically set at every 10,000 km or 6 months, and Infiniti’s authorized service network is extensive across all major GCC cities, ensuring professional maintenance is never far away. Historically, the QX55 has shown strong value retention in the UAE market, depreciating at a slower rate than its more expensive European competitors. At the three-year mark, a well-maintained, GCC-spec SENSORY trim typically retains a high percentage of its original value, especially in desirable colors. The availability of parts is excellent, with multiple regional distribution centers ensuring that any required repairs are handled quickly without long shipping delays from overseas.

Performance & Capability

At the heart of the QX55 is the world’s first production Variable Compression Turbo engine, which produces 268 hp and 380 Nm of torque. This provides plenty of punch for quick overtakes on the highway and smooth merging into fast-moving traffic. The 0-100 km/h sprint is achieved in roughly 6.6 seconds, offering a spirited driving experience that matches its aggressive exterior styling. The Front Wheel Drive configuration is perfectly suited for the well-paved road networks of the GCC, offering better fuel efficiency and reduced mechanical complexity compared to AWD systems. Despite its sporty silhouette, the car maintains a respectable ground clearance of 175 mm, allowing it to handle speed bumps and gravel access roads with ease. The automatic transmission is tuned for seamless shifts, providing a relaxed cruising experience during the long-distance drives that are common between GCC nations. The drive mode selector allows the driver to toggle between Standard, Eco, Sport, and Personal modes to suit the specific road conditions of the day.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior of the SENSORY trim is a masterclass in ergonomics and premium materials, designed to shield occupants from the harsh outside environment. The seating for four is incredibly spacious, featuring zero-gravity seat technology that reduces fatigue on long drives to Al Ain or through the Hajar Mountains. The dual-screen infotainment system provides easy access to navigation and media, while the inclusion of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto ensures seamless connectivity. Noise-canceling technology and acoustic glass are used throughout the cabin, resulting in an exceptionally quiet ride that isolates road noise and wind whistle at high speeds. The climate control system is exceptionally powerful, with rear air vents and specialized filters to keep the cabin air clean and cool. The moonroof adds an airy feel to the cabin during the cooler winter months, while the power sunshade provides total protection during the peak of summer. Every touchpoint, from the leather-wrapped steering wheel to the open-pore wood accents, feels substantial and high-quality.

Safety

Safety is a hallmark of the 2024 QX55 SENSORY, which comes equipped with the ProPILOT Assist suite as standard. This includes Intelligent Cruise Control and Steering Assist, which are invaluable for maintaining safety and reducing driver stress on the long, straight highways of the region. The Predictive Forward Collision Warning system can actually monitor the vehicle two cars ahead, giving you extra reaction time in high-speed situations. Blind Spot Intervention and Lane Departure Prevention are also included, helping to navigate the multi-lane traffic typical of major GCC cities. For parking in tight mall spaces, the Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection provides a 360-degree bird's-eye view of the vehicle. These active systems, combined with a 5-star safety rating and a robust airbag system, ensure that the QX55 provides one of the safest environments in its class for both drivers and passengers.

The bottom line

This 50 km Infiniti QX55 SENSORY is the perfect choice for a professional or a small family looking for a factory-new luxury experience without the wait time or the premium price of a 2025 model. It offers a unique combination of Japanese reliability, GCC-ready cooling performance, and high-end tech that makes it a significantly more sensible long-term investment than its European rivals.
