Summary

The 2024 Infiniti QX60 SENSORY is a compelling proposition for those seeking a premium family SUV that prioritizes cabin refinement and cutting-edge technology. With mileage significantly lower than the GCC annual average for a vehicle of this age, it offers a near-new experience with the mechanical peace of mind that comes from a regional spec history. This specific trim is a standout because it bridges the gap between functional family transport and genuine luxury, featuring high-end interior materials that rival more expensive European counterparts. The tan exterior is a particularly strategic choice for the region, as it hides the inevitable desert dust much better than darker shades while maintaining a sophisticated aesthetic. For a GCC buyer, this car represents a balanced investment, offering a reliable 3.5L V6 powertrain that is well-known to local service centers for its longevity and performance in heat. Choosing this model over its rivals means opting for a more intuitive tech suite and a superior standard audio experience that makes long drives across the Emirates far more enjoyable.

This Car vs Other 2024 QX60s

When compared to other 2024 QX60 models currently available in the GCC market, this vehicle stands out primarily due to its exceptionally low mileage. In a region where the average driver covers between 20,000 and 25,000 km per year, having only 17,520 km on the odometer after a full year of service is a significant advantage. This suggests the vehicle has been used sparingly, likely for city commuting rather than frequent cross-country trips, which preserves the interior touchpoints and mechanical components. The tan exterior is also a major asset for resale value in the UAE and wider GCC, as it is a highly sought-after color that stays cooler under the intense summer sun compared to black or navy. This combination of low usage and a desirable color palette makes this specific unit one of the most attractive options in the current pre-owned inventory.

SENSORY vs Lower Trims

Moving up to the SENSORY trim provides a substantial leap in luxury and convenience that GCC buyers will find indispensable during the summer months. Unlike lower trims, the SENSORY grade often includes advanced climate-controlled seating and a superior air purification system that is vital for maintaining cabin air quality during dust storms. You also gain a significant upgrade in the audio department with a premium Bose Performance Series 17-speaker system, which provides a concert-like experience that base models simply cannot match. The interior is further elevated with open-pore wood accents and enhanced ambient lighting, creating an atmosphere that feels significantly more bespoke. Additionally, the inclusion of a motion-activated liftgate and a 360-degree Around View Monitor makes navigating tight parking spots in busy malls across Dubai or Riyadh much easier than in the entry-level configurations.

QX60 vs Segment Rivals

The Infiniti QX60 competes directly with the Lexus RX and the Acura MDX, yet it carves out a niche by offering a more seamless blend of traditional luxury and modern technology. While its rivals often feature complex infotainment interfaces, the Infiniti provides a more user-friendly experience that doesn't distract during high-speed highway driving. The 3.5L V6 engine is a tried-and-tested masterpiece that offers smoother power delivery than many of the turbocharged four-cylinder engines found in European competitors. Furthermore, the QX60 provides a generous fuel tank capacity, which is a major benefit for those who frequently drive between cities like Abu Dhabi and Muscat, reducing the need for frequent fuel stops. The cabin insulation is also notably superior, designed to keep the harsh GCC exterior noise and heat at bay, providing a serene environment for all occupants.

Running Costs & Resale

In terms of running costs, the 3.5L V6 engine is remarkably efficient for its size, especially during steady-state highway cruising which is common on the long stretches of road across the GCC. Owners can expect a balanced fuel consumption profile, though city driving in heavy traffic will naturally increase the burn rate due to the vehicle's substantial footprint. Being a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from a wide and established network of authorized service centers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring that parts are readily available and technicians are intimately familiar with the model. Infiniti models in this segment typically see a depreciation rate of approximately 12-15% annually in the local market, which is more stable than many European luxury SUVs. This means that at the three-year mark, a well-maintained QX60 retains a healthy percentage of its original value, making it a sound financial choice for families.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this vehicle is its 3.5L V6 engine, which delivers a confident and linear power supply that is perfect for overtaking on fast-moving multi-lane highways. While this specific model is a Front Wheel Drive configuration, it is engineered for maximum stability and comfort on paved surfaces, making it an ideal executive or family commuter. It handles the extreme temperatures of the GCC with ease, thanks to a cooling system designed for the region's 45°C+ summers. The 0-100 km/h performance is brisk enough for city merging, and the automatic transmission is tuned for smoothness rather than aggressive shifts, prioritizing passenger comfort. While not intended for deep dune bashing, its ground clearance is more than sufficient for gravel tracks and the occasional weekend camping trip at a desert resort, providing versatility for various lifestyle needs.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin of the QX60 SENSORY is a masterclass in ergonomic design, specifically tailored for long-distance comfort in a warm climate. This configuration features a specialized seating layout that provides ample personal space, ensuring that every passenger enjoys a premium experience. The air conditioning system is exceptionally powerful, a hallmark of Infiniti's engineering for the Middle East, with vents strategically placed to ensure rapid cooling of the entire cabin. The seats are designed with 'Zero Gravity' technology, which reduces fatigue during long drives between the Emirates. High-quality materials cover every surface, and the panoramic sunroof is treated with advanced coatings to minimize heat soak while still allowing for a bright, airy interior. Whether you are doing a school run in the city or a weekend road trip to Salalah, the cabin remains a quiet, temperature-controlled sanctuary.

Safety

Safety is a cornerstone of the QX60 experience, as evidenced by its 5-star safety ratings and the comprehensive ProPILOT Assist suite. This system is particularly useful on the long, straight highways of the GCC, where adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist can significantly reduce driver fatigue. The vehicle also features blind-spot intervention, which is crucial for safety on busy, multi-lane roads where traffic moves at high speeds. Forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection provides an extra layer of security in unpredictable city traffic. Furthermore, the SENSORY trim includes an advanced head-up display, allowing the driver to keep their eyes on the road while monitoring speed and navigation prompts. These active systems work in harmony with a robust passive safety cage to ensure that your family is protected in every driving scenario.

The bottom line

This 2024 Infiniti QX60 SENSORY is a rare find for a buyer who wants a showroom-quality vehicle without the new-car price tag, benefiting from low mileage and a high-demand GCC color. It is the perfect choice for a professional or family looking for a luxury SUV that is specifically optimized for the unique climate and driving conditions of the Middle East.
