Summary

This 2024 Seltos is a standout choice in the subcompact segment, offering a sophisticated blend of tech and efficiency in a striking Red finish that holds its appeal in the regional market. With mileage that reflects light, careful use compared to typical GCC annual averages, this SX trim represents the model's most premium featureset. It balances urban agility with the comfort needed for inter-emirate highway drives, outclassing rivals with its standard safety tech and digital cabin. For a buyer in the UAE or wider GCC, this is a turnkey opportunity to own a near-new crossover that is both economical to run and feature-rich. Kia’s established service presence ensures long-term peace of mind for any local owner.

This Car vs Other 2024 Seltos

With just 35,745 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen across the GCC. Its condition and low usage make it a prime candidate for a buyer seeking a near-new experience. The vibrant Red exterior is a bold choice that stands out in a market dominated by white and silver, while still maintaining respectable resale interest.

SX vs Lower Trims

The SX trim elevates the driving experience with premium amenities that lower trims lack, such as the 8-speaker Bose audio system and sound-connected mood lighting. Crucially for the GCC climate, it features upgraded cabin materials and the full 'Drive Wise' safety suite, including Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go and Highway Driving Assist. These features provide a level of refinement and automated convenience that significantly boosts the car's desirability at resale.

Seltos vs Segment Rivals

When compared to rivals like the Hyundai Creta or Nissan Kicks, the Seltos leads with a more integrated digital cockpit and a superior suite of standard ADAS technologies. Its 50-litre fuel tank is well-sized for long stretches of highway between major cities, and the interior packaging offers more versatile cargo solutions than most in the subcompact class. The SX trim’s unique styling elements give it a more upscale presence than its more utilitarian competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Boasting a manufacturer-rated 6.05 L/100km combined, this model is exceptionally efficient for GCC city traffic and long-distance cruising alike. Maintenance is straightforward thanks to Kia's extensive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, with standard service intervals usually occurring every 10,000 km. While Chinese regional specs can sometimes differ from GCC-specific warranty terms, the shared mechanical platform ensures high parts availability and strong value retention compared to European subcompacts.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5L 4-cylinder engine is paired with an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), delivering smooth, linear acceleration that is ideal for navigating busy urban environments. With three selectable drive modes—Normal, Eco, and Sport—the car can be tailored for maximum efficiency on the E11 or extra responsiveness for quick city overtakes. Its 190 mm ground clearance provides confidence when navigating speed bumps or the occasional gravel path on weekend getaways.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is centered around a massive dual-screen panoramic display that integrates the instrument cluster and infotainment, a feature that makes the interior feel a generation ahead of its price point. Premium SynTex seating and solar-control glass help manage the intense GCC summer heat, while rear AC vents ensure all five passengers stay comfortable during long trips. Excellent sound insulation makes for a quiet, composed environment even at highway speeds.

Safety

Safety is a primary focus for the SX trim, which comes standard with a comprehensive ADAS suite including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with junction turning, Lane Keeping Assist, and Blind-Spot Collision Warning. The addition of Highway Driving Assist and Smart Cruise Control is particularly valuable for the long, straight desert roads common in the region, reducing driver fatigue. A 360-degree view and rear cross-traffic alert make parking in tight urban spaces effortless.

The bottom line

Perfect for the young professional or small family, this low-mileage SX trim offers premium tech and segment-leading safety at a significant advantage over a showroom-new model.
