Summary

This 2024 Mercedes-AMG S63 E Performance represents a rare opportunity to own the most powerful S-Class ever produced with just 25,000 km. Its Grey exterior is a highly sought-after shade in the GCC, offering a perfect balance of executive presence and strong resale desirability. As a high-performance PHEV, it bridges the gap between silent city commuting and ferocious highway acceleration unlike any of its rivals. Considering its age and mileage, this car is in its prime for a market that typically sees much higher annual usage. For a GCC owner, the inclusion of Formula 1-derived battery cooling technology is a vital advantage, ensuring consistent performance even in our extreme summer temperatures.

This Car vs Other 2024 S63 AMGs

With 25,000 km over two years of use, this S63 sits exactly at the average expected mileage for a high-end executive sedan in the Emirates, where long-distance commutes between Dubai and Abu Dhabi are standard. While many similar listings may show ultra-low 'garage queen' mileage, this example has been properly exercised, ensuring the complex hybrid systems and seals remain in top mechanical health. The Grey finish provides a subtle, sophisticated alternative to the common White or Black, maintaining high resale liquidly in the GCC secondary market.

E PERFORMANCE vs Lower Trims

The E PERFORMANCE is a monumental step above the standard S580, replacing the mild-hybrid V8 with a hand-built AMG 4.0L unit paired with a rear-axle electric motor. This trim adds the AMG Ride Control+ air suspension with active roll stabilization, crucial for maintaining composed handling on fast GCC highway curves. Inside, you move from standard luxury to an AMG-specific cabin featuring a performance steering wheel, specialized MBUX track telemetry, and significantly bolstered Nappa leather sport seats.

S63 AMG vs Segment Rivals

The S63 E Performance occupies a unique space, offering significantly more power than the BMW M760e or the Audi S8. While rivals focus primarily on smoothness, the AMG delivers a staggering 1,430 Nm of torque, allowing for effortless overtaking on the E11 or Saudi's long desert stretches. Its biggest advantage in the GCC remains the sheer breadth of its personality—it can operate as a silent electric limousine in downtown traffic and a 802 hp supercar on the open road.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this PHEV varies significantly; while the WLTP weighted figure is 4.4 L/100km, expect closer to 12.0 L/100km once the battery is depleted during long-distance GCC cruises. Mercedes-Benz maintains a massive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring specialized AMG hybrid technicians are always accessible. While European luxury flagships typically depreciate by 12-18% annually, the S63 AMG holds its value better than standard models due to its limited production and 'most powerful' status.

Performance & Capability

The headline is the 3.3-second 0-100 km/h sprint, a figure that genuinely challenges dedicated supercars. The rear-mounted electric motor provides instant torque fill, making the car feel incredibly responsive when merging into fast-moving highway traffic. Standard rear-axle steering significantly reduces the turning circle, making this long-wheelbase sedan surprisingly maneuverable in tight urban parking structures in Riyadh or Dubai. Seven dynamic drive modes allow you to tailor the chassis from a soft, heat-isolating cruiser to a rigid, high-speed performer.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the GCC sun, equipped with a high-performance multi-zone climate control system and heavily insulated acoustic glass. This five-seat configuration features ventilated and massaging seats in both the front and rear, an essential luxury for maintaining comfort during the peak summer months. The Burmester 3D Surround Sound system and 64-color active ambient lighting create an immersive environment for evening drives, while the 12.8-inch OLED central display provides crystal-clear navigation across the region.

Safety

Safety is paramount with a full ADAS suite including Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC and Active Steering Assist, which are invaluable for reducing driver fatigue on long cross-border desert drives. The car features a sophisticated 360° camera system and Pre-Safe Impulse Side, which can move the driver or passenger away from a side impact. For the GCC's fast highways, the Blind Spot Assist and Evasive Steering Assist provide an extra layer of protection against the unpredictable movements of surrounding traffic.

The bottom line

This S63 E Performance is the ultimate choice for the GCC executive who demands the highest possible power output without sacrificing the legendary comfort of an S-Class. It offers a rare mix of modern PHEV efficiency for daily city use and world-class V8 performance for the open road.
