Summary

This Nissan Altima Sport offers a compelling balance of modern styling and proven reliability for the GCC market. With mileage that reflects typical executive commuting between emirates, it remains well-positioned for several more years of high-utility use. The black exterior is a perennial favorite for resale in the region, providing a sleek, professional look that holds its value better than unconventional tones. In a segment where running costs and cabin cooling are paramount, the Altima stands out for its efficiency and robust air conditioning performance. This listing represents a smart opportunity for buyers seeking a current-generation sedan that handles summer traffic and long highway stretches with equal ease.

This Car vs Other 2024 Altima s

With 52,000 km, this Altima is exactly where you would expect a GCC-spec vehicle to be after a year of typical highway commuting, where annual averages often reach 45,000–50,000 km. Its black finish is a major asset in the local used market, ensuring faster liquidly and stronger price retention than brighter alternatives. While many Altimas on the market are base-spec fleet vehicles, this Sport trim offers a more premium aesthetic and driver-focused setup that is highly sought after by private owners.

SPORT vs Lower Trims

The Sport trim provides a significant visual and mechanical upgrade over the S and SV models, most notably with 19-inch machine-finished alloy wheels and a sport-tuned suspension for sharper handling on curved exits. Inside, you benefit from sport-cloth seat trim and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, adding a level of engagement missing in the base models. It also includes the dark chrome V-Motion grille and blacked-out mirror caps, giving it the aggressive look that GCC buyers prefer over standard chrome.

Altima vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord, the Altima leads with its standard 61-litre fuel tank, providing excellent range for cross-country drives to Oman or Saudi Arabia. Its Xtronic CVT is tuned specifically for smooth operation in stop-start traffic, avoiding the gear-hunting sometimes felt in traditional automatics during Dubai's rush hour. Furthermore, Nissan's Zero Gravity seats offer superior lumbar support, a critical advantage during the long-distance highway cruises common across the Emirates.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel efficiency is a core strength, with the 2.5L engine averaging roughly 6.5 L/100km, making it one of the most economical non-hybrid sedans in its class. Service intervals are typically set at 10,000 km, and with the most extensive authorized service network in the GCC, parts are affordable and readily available from Abu Dhabi to Muscat. The Altima historically retains roughly 85% of its value in the first two years in the UAE market, making it a safe financial choice for those planning a future upgrade.

Performance & Capability

The 2.5-litre direct-injection engine delivers a reliable 188 hp, which is perfectly suited for confident overtaking on the E11. Acceleration is smooth and linear, reaching 100 km/h in approximately 8.0 seconds under local conditions. The Sport-specific suspension tuning reduces body roll, providing a more planted feel during high-speed highway travel without sacrificing the ride comfort needed for city bumps. Drive modes allow the pilot to prioritize efficiency or response depending on the traffic flow.

Comfort & Cabin

Designed for the heat, the Altima features a powerful climate control system with dedicated rear vents to ensure all five passengers stay cool during peak summer. The cabin is well-insulated against road noise, creating a quiet environment for the standard 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone integration. The Sport trim's interior is finished with piano black accents and contrast stitching, elevating the feel of the cabin beyond its commuter roots.

Safety

Standard safety includes the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite, providing essential protection like Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which are invaluable on multi-lane GCC highways. Intelligent Forward Collision Warning monitors two cars ahead to anticipate sudden braking, while the standard RearView monitor makes parking in tight urban spaces effortless. Ten airbags and Vehicle Dynamic Control ensure comprehensive protection for all occupants.

The bottom line

Perfect for the professional who values low running costs and a sharp, sporty aesthetic, this GCC-spec Altima Sport is a reliable, high-value choice for the region's demanding driving conditions.
