Summary

This 2024 Nissan Patrol LE Platinum City represents the pinnacle of the legendary 'Hero of All Terrains' in its most desirable GCC configuration. Finished in White, the most sought-after color for resale in the region, this SUV offers immediate value retention and long-term appeal for any local buyer. With its powerful 5.6L V8 engine and eight-seat capacity, it stands as the definitive choice for large families who require a vehicle capable of transitioning from high-end urban environments to deep desert excursions. This specific trim is the most well-equipped version available, ensuring you have every possible comfort for the harsh GCC climate, including superior cooling and ventilated seating. Given its status as a brand-new 2024 model with GCC specifications, it offers full peace of mind regarding warranty and service support across the entire region. Choosing a Patrol in the UAE is more than a purchase; it is an investment in a vehicle that defines the local automotive landscape and holds its value better than almost any other SUV in its class.

This Car vs Other 2024 Patrols

As a 2024 model, this Nissan Patrol is at the most modern point of its current generation's evolution, benefiting from years of mechanical refinements tailored specifically for the Middle East. While many 2024 models in the secondary market may already show the high annual mileage typical of the GCC—often exceeding 25,000 km—this listing provides a fresh start for a new owner. The White exterior is statistically the most popular choice in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, offering a significant advantage when it comes time to trade in or sell, as it reflects heat more effectively than darker shades. Compared to other listings, the GCC specification on this vehicle is a critical differentiator, ensuring that the cooling systems and filters are designed for 50°C temperatures and that the vehicle is fully eligible for service contracts at authorized dealerships. This car avoids the complications often found with imported North American or European units, such as incompatible navigation maps or non-tropicalized radiators.

LE PLATINUM CITY vs Lower Trims

Steering into the LE Platinum City trim moves you far beyond the standard utility of the XE or SE grades, offering a level of luxury that rivals dedicated premium brands. This specific trim adds the sophisticated 22-inch alloy wheels and a unique 'City' bumper design that provides a more commanding presence on the roads of Dubai or Riyadh. Inside, the differences are immediately apparent with the inclusion of quilted semi-aniline leather seats that feature both heating and ventilation—a must-have for the intense summer months. You also gain the 13-speaker Bose Premium Sound System and the dual 10.1-inch rear entertainment screens, which are not found on lower LE trims. Technologically, the Platinum City is distinguished by its 360-degree Intelligent Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, making parking this large SUV in tight urban spaces significantly easier than in the base models.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Nissan Patrol famously competes with the Toyota Land Cruiser, and while both are icons, the Patrol 5.6L V8 offers a traditional, naturally aspirated power delivery that many GCC purists prefer over the newer twin-turbo V6 alternatives. Its cabin is widely regarded as being more spacious in the third row, comfortably seating adults where rivals often feel cramped, making it the superior choice for large extended families. Against European competitors like the Land Rover Defender or the BMW X7, the Patrol leads with a much more robust and affordable service network that spans even the most remote areas of the GCC. Furthermore, its fuel tank capacity is designed for the vast distances between major cities like Abu Dhabi and Salalah, ensuring fewer stops on long-haul desert drives. The Patrol’s Hydraulic Body Motion Control system also provides a unique balance of on-road stability and off-road articulation that many luxury-focused rivals cannot match without fragile air suspension systems.

Running Costs & Resale

Running a 5.6L V8 Patrol in the GCC is a predictable experience thanks to the massive infrastructure supporting the brand. While real-world fuel consumption averages around 14.5 L/100km, the ability to run efficiently on standard petrol grades available at any station in the region keeps daily costs manageable. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, and with one of the most extensive authorized service networks in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, you are never far from expert maintenance. The depreciation profile of the Nissan Patrol is among the strongest in the world; a GCC-spec Patrol typically loses only 8–10% of its value annually, far outperforming European luxury SUVs which can see 15–20% drops. At the three-year mark, a well-maintained White LE Platinum City remains one of the most liquid assets in the used car market, often selling within days of being listed.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this beast is the 5.6-litre V8 engine producing 400 hp and 560 Nm of torque, providing effortless acceleration that is particularly useful for overtaking on fast-moving highways like E11. This power is sent through a smooth 7-speed automatic transmission to an advanced All-Wheel Drive system featuring dedicated modes for Sand, On-road, Snow, and Rock. For those who enjoy desert weekends, the Patrol comes equipped with a proper low-range transfer case and an electronic locking rear differential, allowing it to conquer the highest dunes in Liwa with ease. On the tarmac, the Hydraulic Body Motion Control system acts like an active anti-roll bar, keeping the SUV flat through corners and remarkably stable during high-speed cruising. With a towing capacity of approximately 3,500 kg, it is also perfectly suited for hauling boats or horse trailers, common hobbies for owners in this region.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior of the LE Platinum City is designed to be a sanctuary from the exterior heat and noise. The three-zone climate control system is arguably the most powerful in its segment, capable of chilling the massive cabin in minutes even after the car has been sitting in the direct sun. With seating for eight, the cabin features a versatile layout where the second and third rows can be folded flat to create a cavernous cargo area. The use of premium materials like wood grain trim and soft-touch leather throughout the dashboard elevates the experience for both the driver and passengers. Long-distance comfort is ensured by the 'Zero Gravity' inspired seats which reduce fatigue during cross-country drives between Emirates. Furthermore, the acoustic glass and extensive sound insulation keep the V8's roar muffled, providing a library-quiet environment for the Bose audio system to shine.

Safety

Nissan has equipped the 2024 LE Platinum City with a full suite of Intelligent Mobility safety features that are essential for the high-speed, multi-lane traffic environments found in the GCC. Standard equipment includes Intelligent Forward Collision Warning and Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, providing an extra layer of security in unpredictable city traffic. The Blind Spot Warning and Lane Intervention systems are particularly helpful on six-lane highways where lane changes require constant vigilance. For long desert stretches, the Intelligent Cruise Control maintains a safe distance from the vehicle ahead, significantly reducing driver stress. Additionally, the vehicle is built with a high-strength zone body construction and features a comprehensive airbag system that protects all three rows of passengers, earning it top marks for safety and durability in various global markets.

The bottom line

This 2024 Nissan Patrol LE Platinum City is the ideal choice for a buyer who wants the ultimate blend of GCC-proven reliability, maximum luxury, and the best possible resale value. It offers a turn-key opportunity to own a flagship SUV that is equally at home at a 5-star hotel valet as it is in the middle of the desert.
