Summary

This 2-year-old Peugeot 5008 is a standout family SUV for the GCC, offering a rare combination of seven seats and European refinement in a fuel-efficient package. The Allure trim represents the sweet spot for the local market, providing the high-definition i-Cockpit and advanced safety systems that buyers prioritize. Finished in white, the most resilient resale color for the region's climate, this car remains a strong value proposition compared to Japanese rivals. The 1.6-liter turbocharged engine is well-suited for city commuting in Dubai or Riyadh while maintaining composed stability for long-distance highway cruises across the Emirates. For a buyer seeking modern French design and premium cabin tech without the steep depreciation of top-tier luxury brands, this listing is a practical and stylish choice.

This Car vs Other 2024 5008s

With 65,184 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been utilized more than the typical 2-year-old SUV in the GCC, which usually averages 40,000–50,000 km. However, this level of highway-biased mileage is often better for a turbo engine's longevity than stop-start city crawling. The white exterior is the optimal choice for the GCC, as it reflects heat more effectively and commands the highest resale demand in the local used market.

ALLURE vs Lower Trims

The Allure trim is a significant step up from the base Active trim, adding the 10-inch high-definition touchscreen and the Safety Plus Pack, which includes active blind-spot monitoring and lane-keeping assist—essential for fast-moving GCC highway traffic. It also upgrades the cabin with half-leather effect trim and Detroit diamond-cut alloy wheels, providing a more premium feel that maintains better value at trade-in.

5008 vs Segment Rivals

The 5008 leads the Nissan X-Trail and Mitsubishi Outlander in interior design and digital tech, featuring the innovative i-Cockpit layout that rivals often lock behind higher price points. While rivals may offer larger naturally aspirated engines, the Peugeot's turbocharged torque provides better low-end response for merging into traffic. Its modular seating, with three individual sliding middle-row seats, offers superior family flexibility over the bench setups found in many competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The 1.6-liter turbo engine is efficient for its size, with real-world GCC highway consumption averaging around 6.5L/100km, though this increases in stop-start summer traffic with the AC at maximum. Peugeot has a well-established authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with minor service intervals recommended every 10,000 km. While European SUVs typically depreciate faster than Japanese alternatives, the 5008 holds roughly 70% of its value after three years in the local market, aided by the high demand for seven-seater crossovers.

Performance & Capability

Delivering 165 hp, the 5008 reaches 100 km/h in 9.2 seconds, offering sufficient power for confident highway overtaking between emirates. The front-wheel-drive platform is tuned for road comfort rather than off-roading, providing a smooth ride that handles the expansion joints of the E11 with poise. Its 6-speed automatic transmission is geared for efficiency, keeping engine noise low during sustained high-speed travel.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a standout feature for the GCC climate, equipped with a powerful dual-zone climate control system and dedicated rear vents to ensure all three rows stay cool during peak summer. The second row features three independent seats that slide and recline, providing adult-standard legroom, while the third row can be folded completely flat to open up a massive 952-liter cargo area. The digital i-Cockpit puts all essential navigation and vehicle data high in the driver's line of sight, reducing distraction during long drives.

Safety

This Allure trim comes standard with a comprehensive ADAS suite, including Lane Keeping Assist, High Beam Assist, and Active Blind Spot Detection, which are invaluable on multi-lane GCC highways. It also features a 180-degree reversing camera and six airbags as standard. The 5-star Euro NCAP safety heritage ensures peace of mind for family transport, offering a level of active protection that is often an optional extra in this segment.

The bottom line

This 2024 Peugeot 5008 Allure is the ideal upgrade for a growing family that wants European tech and safety without sacrificing seven-seat practicality. In the high-demand white-on-GCC-spec configuration, it represents a smart buy for those who value cabin sophistication and fuel efficiency.
