Summary

The 2024 Porsche Cayenne remains the benchmark for performance SUVs, offering a driving experience that rivals many sports sedans while providing a high-riding perspective. This specific example, finished in timeless black, benefits from Porsche's significant 2024 model year refresh which introduced a much-needed interior overhaul and more power. Its mileage is consistent with a vehicle used for regular highway commutes between emirates, making it a seasoned choice for the local climate. For the GCC buyer, the Cayenne's ability to balance prestige with mechanical robustness in extreme heat makes it one of the most practical luxury investments on the market. Whether you're navigating urban Dubai traffic or long stretches of highway, its all-wheel-drive stability and revised suspension provide unmatched composure.

This Car vs Other 2024 Cayennes

With 58,649 km on the odometer, this Cayenne has seen more regular use than a typical weekend-only vehicle but remains well within the expected range for a high-utility GCC SUV. In a market where white and black dominate resale charts, this black exterior offers maximum value retention and aesthetic appeal. It represents an opportunity to secure the latest body style and cabin technology at a more accessible entry point compared to delivery-mileage examples.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

As the base entry to the Porsche lineup, the 'Standard' trim was significantly enhanced for 2024, receiving Matrix LED headlights and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard equipment. It introduces the new 'Porsche Driver Experience' dashboard, which replaces the previous analogue tachometer with a fully digital curved display. Unlike previous generations, this trim also includes wireless smartphone charging and cooled storage as standard, essentials for the GCC summer.

Cayenne vs Segment Rivals

The Cayenne leads competitors like the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE through its sheer focus on driving dynamics and chassis feedback. While rivals prioritize soft isolation, the Porsche offers a larger 90-litre fuel tank for superior range on cross-border GCC drives and a more sophisticated all-wheel-drive system capable of light desert excursions. Its resale value in the UAE typically outperforms non-Japanese rivals, making it a smarter long-term financial choice.

Running Costs & Resale

Expect a real-world combined fuel consumption of approximately 10.8 L/100km, though stop-start city traffic in major GCC hubs may see this rise. Service intervals are typically every 15,000 km, with Porsche’s extensive authorized network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia ensuring high-quality maintenance. Historically, the Cayenne holds roughly 65% of its value after three years in the GCC, a figure bolstered by this model's GCC-specific cooling and air filtration systems.

Performance & Capability

A 0–100 km/h sprint of 5.7 seconds ensures the Cayenne never feels underpowered, delivering confident overtaking on fast-moving highways. The 348 hp output is paired with a refined 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission that optimizes gear shifts for both high-speed cruising and low-speed urban crawls. With its 210 mm ground clearance and specialized off-road drive modes, it handles sand-covered roads and gravel tracks with significantly more poise than typical road-biased crossovers.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin features a five-seat configuration with high-quality materials and Porsche’s signature ergonomic layout. GCC-essential features include a powerful multi-zone climate control system designed to neutralize 45°C+ external temperatures quickly and efficiently. The 12.3-inch high-resolution touchscreen provides seamless integration for local navigation needs, while acoustic insulation keeps the interior remarkably quiet even at high highway speeds.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive with a full suite of ADAS technology, including Forward Collision Mitigation, Lane Departure Mitigation, and Blind-spot Warning as standard. For GCC drivers, the Road Sign Assistance and adaptive steering are particularly useful on multi-lane highways. The vehicle is equipped with a sophisticated airbag system and Porsche’s advanced stability management, providing a secure environment for family road trips.

The bottom line

This 2024 Cayenne is the perfect choice for a professional or family looking for the prestige and performance of a Porsche without the initial depreciation of a showroom-new car. It is a mechanically sound, modern-spec SUV ready for the unique demands of GCC ownership.
