Summary

This 2024 Porsche Cayenne is a compelling opportunity to own the latest facelifted model in a resale-friendly Grey, a color that holds value exceptionally well in the GCC market. With mileage that reflects active use but remains well within the expectations for a highway-driven SUV in the region, it presents a significant saving over a showroom-fresh unit while maintaining its current-generation status. As the standard trim, it strikes a perfect balance between everyday GCC commuting comfort and the legendary handling Porsche is known for. The recent 2024 refresh introduced substantial tech and power upgrades, ensuring this car stays relevant and desirable for years to come. For the UAE buyer, this represents a peak-condition executive SUV that is ready for both city traffic and cross-emirate highway runs.

This Car vs Other 2024 Cayennes

With approximately 57,000 km, this Cayenne has been driven more than the average weekend car but sits exactly where a primary executive vehicle in the GCC should after its first year of service. While some listings may show lower figures, those are often priced at a premium; this vehicle offers a more accessible entry point into the current 9Y0.2 generation without sacrificing mechanical integrity. Its Grey exterior is a high-demand shade in the region, ensuring it will move quickly when you eventually decide to upgrade.

Standard vs Lower Trims

As the foundational trim of the 2024 refresh, the Standard trim received a power bump to 348 hp, notably bridging the gap that previously existed between the base and S models. It includes the new all-digital Porsche Driver Experience as standard, featuring a curved 12.6-inch instrument cluster and a revamped center console that improves ergonomics for daily driving. Unlike older base models, this 2024 iteration comes better equipped with high-resolution Matrix Design LED headlights and PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) often found as options elsewhere.

Cayenne vs Segment Rivals

The Cayenne leads the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE in driver engagement, offering a chassis that feels significantly more agile on fast-moving UAE highways. While rivals focus on soft damping, the Porsche provides superior high-speed stability and a 75-litre fuel tank that is ideal for long-range drives from Dubai to Muscat or Riyadh. Its interior build quality is widely considered the benchmark for the segment, utilizing materials that resist the wear of high-temperature GCC summers better than most competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Porsche models in the GCC typically see a depreciation rate of 12-15% in their first two years, which is more stable than many other European luxury marques. Service intervals are typically every 15,000 km or 12 months at authorized centers like Al Nabooda or Ali & Sons, which are widely available across the UAE. Real-world fuel consumption averages around 10.5L/100km, though this can rise to 13L/100km in heavy stop-start Dubai traffic. Parts availability is excellent across the region, ensuring long-term maintenance is straightforward.

Performance & Capability

The 3.0L V6 Turbo delivers a 0–100 km/h time of 5.7 seconds, providing plenty of punch for overtaking at highway speeds. With a top speed of 248 km/h and a standard All-Wheel Drive system, it offers a secure and planted feel regardless of the surface. While primarily road-biased, its selectable drive modes allow it to handle gravel tracks and light desert sand effortlessly during weekend excursions. The 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission is specifically tuned to keep the engine in its power band for immediate response.

Comfort & Cabin

The 2024 refresh transformed the cabin with a focus on digitalization, moving the gear selector to the dashboard to create a spacious, uncluttered center console. The five-seat layout offers 772 litres of luggage space, making it one of the most practical luxury SUVs for family road trips. Standard cabin features are designed to combat the local heat, including a powerful multi-zone climate control system and well-insulated acoustic glass. The seating is highly adjustable, providing long-distance support that is essential for cross-country GCC travel.

Safety

The 2024 Cayenne comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Forward Collision Warning and ParkAssist with a reversing camera as standard. Its lightweight but high-strength steel-aluminum hybrid construction is complemented by a full array of airbags, ensuring top-tier passenger protection. Advanced systems like Lane Keep Assist and Warn and Brake Assist are particularly useful for maintaining safety during long drives on the E11 or E311 highways.

The bottom line

This 2024 Cayenne is the perfect match for the professional seeking the latest Porsche design and tech at a market-reflective price. It is a highly usable, modern SUV that balances prestige with the practical reality of GCC daily driving.
