Summary

This 2024 Porsche Cayenne S represents a significant jump for the model year, notably returning to a high-output V8 engine that provides the mechanical soul missing from earlier V6 iterations. With just 12,000 km, this white-on-beige example is barely through its break-in period and carries the balance of its official GCC warranty, offering total peace of mind for local buyers. The S trim hits the sweet spot between daily SUV practicality and Porsche’s sports car heritage, making it a highly liquid asset in the secondary market. For anyone looking for a near-new flagship experience without the initial showroom depreciation, this V8-powered S is the most compelling configuration currently available.

This Car vs Other 2024 Cayennes

With only 12,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits well below the typical GCC annual average of 20,000 km, positioning it as one of the freshest units on the market. Finished in White, it occupies the most desirable color bracket for local resale, ensuring it remains highly sought after when it eventually returns to the market. Unlike many 2024 models that have already seen high-speed desert highway use, this low-mileage example retains a pristine mechanical and cosmetic profile.

S vs Lower Trims

The jump from the base Cayenne to the S is defined by the move from a V6 to a 4.0-liter V8, delivering an extra 120 hp and a far more aggressive exhaust note. Standard upgrades on the S include larger red brake calipers for superior stopping power and retuned adaptive suspension systems that improve stability during high-speed cornering. This trim also standardizes premium interior features like the panoramic sunroof and upgraded leather touchpoints that are often optional on the entry-level model.

Cayenne vs Segment Rivals

While the BMW X5 M60i and Range Rover Sport are formidable competitors, the Cayenne S leads the segment in pure driver feedback and steering precision. Its 3,500 kg towing capacity matches the best in class, but Porsche’s 8-speed Tiptronic S gearbox provides a more responsive shift pattern during spirited drives through Jebel Jais or the Hajar mountains. In the GCC, the Cayenne’s air conditioning and cabin cooling systems are often regarded as more robust for 50°C summers compared to its European peers.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel consumption for the V8 S averages approximately 13.5 L/100 km in mixed conditions, though long-range highway cruising significantly improves efficiency. Being a GCC-spec vehicle, it is supported by a comprehensive service network across all major Emirates and neighboring Saudi Arabia, ensuring high parts availability. Service intervals are typically set at 15,000 km or one year, and the model maintains one of the strongest residual value curves in the luxury SUV segment, typically depreciating slower than its direct German rivals.

Performance & Capability

The 468 hp V8 engine allows for effortless highway overtaking, reaching 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds—a figure that moves this SUV into genuine sports car territory. Its four-wheel-drive system is rear-biased for a traditional driving feel but can instantly shift torque to the front for stability on sand-drifted roads or during heavy rain. With a top speed of 273 km/h and multiple terrain modes, it handles the transition from city traffic to high-speed cross-border travel with total composure.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is designed around a driver-centric digital cockpit featuring a 12.6-inch instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch central touchscreen. GCC buyers will appreciate the powerful multi-zone climate control and the standard panoramic roof which features advanced heat-insulating glass. The 2024 update includes a redesigned center console and gear selector, creating a more open and modern feel that maximizes space for both front and rear passengers during long road trips.

Safety

This trim comes standard with Porsche’s full ADAS suite, including Lane Change Assist, Lane Keep Assist, and Warn and Brake Assist to mitigate forward collisions. The 360-degree surround-view cameras make parking in tight urban spaces like Downtown Dubai effortless, while the adaptive LED headlights provide exceptional visibility on unlit desert highways. Multiple airbags and a high-strength chassis contribute to its top-tier safety ratings, ensuring maximum protection for all five occupants.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for a buyer who wants the prestige and performance of a Porsche V8 with the security of a near-new GCC-spec vehicle that is still under its primary warranty period.
