Summary

This low-mileage 2024 pickup represents a powerful opportunity for those seeking a modern heavy-duty workhorse without the long-term wait times of a new order. Finished in Silver, the most resilient color for heat and dust in the GCC, this truck is primed for strong resale value across the Emirates. Its 6.4L HEMI V8 provides the necessary muscle for serious hauling while remaining mechanically simpler than diesel alternatives, a key factor for long-term maintenance in the region. Whether you are moving heavy equipment between construction sites or towing large boats for weekend escapes, this Bighorn trim offers the perfect balance of utility and interior comfort. With only 23,000 km, this vehicle is essentially in its break-in period and ready for years of demanding service.

This Car vs Other 2024 RAM 2500s

With just 23,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits well below the typical 30,000 km annual average for heavy-duty trucks in the GCC, where highway-heavy commutes are standard. The Silver exterior is a strategic choice for the local market, offering the best resistance to the sun's heat and maintaining a cleaner appearance during sand-heavy seasons compared to darker colors. This combination of low usage and high-demand specifications makes it a standout entry in the current used market.

BIGHORN vs Lower Trims

The Bighorn trim significantly upgrades the ownership experience over the base Tradesman by replacing vinyl flooring and seats with high-quality cloth and carpeting, making the cabin far more comfortable during the summer months. It introduces chrome exterior accents, heated power-folding mirrors, and an integrated trailer brake controller as standard, features that are essential for long-distance towing across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. You also gain remote keyless entry and a larger Uconnect infotainment screen, bringing modern connectivity to the heavy-duty segment.

RAM 2500 vs Segment Rivals

In the heavy-duty arena, the RAM 2500 leads rivals like the Ford F-250 and Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with its unique rear coil-spring suspension, which provides a significantly smoother ride when the bed is empty—a major benefit on the high-speed multi-lane highways of the GCC. Its 6.4L HEMI remains one of the most powerful naturally aspirated gas engines in the class, offering a linear power delivery that is highly valued for desert driving. The cabin design continues to be recognized for higher-quality materials and better noise insulation than its direct domestic competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 6.4L HEMI V8 typically averages around 15.6 L/100km, though this will fluctuate in GCC stop-start city traffic or when towing heavy loads. Maintenance is supported by an extensive authorized service network across the UAE and the wider GCC, with recommended service intervals occurring every 12,000 to 15,000 km. The RAM 2500 maintains strong value retention in the regional market, especially in the Silver Bighorn configuration, generally depreciating at a competitive 10-12% annually.

Performance & Capability

The 6.4L HEMI V8 produces 410 hp and 582 Nm of torque, enabling a massive towing capacity of up to 6,658 kg and a payload capacity of 1,814 kg. This heavy-duty output is managed by a refined 8-speed automatic transmission that ensures smooth power delivery during high-speed highway overtaking or technical off-road maneuvers. The selectable four-wheel-drive system provides the necessary traction for navigating loose sand or gravel, making it as capable on a weekend desert trip as it is on a job site.

Comfort & Cabin

This Bighorn configuration features a spacious 6-seat layout with a front 40/20/40 bench, providing excellent flexibility for work crews or large families. The air conditioning system is specifically engineered for high-output cooling, a necessity for the extreme summer temperatures found across the Emirates. Acoustic glass and active noise cancellation technology keep the cabin quiet, isolating passengers from road and wind noise during long cross-border drives between GCC cities.

Safety

Safety is prioritized with a robust suite of features including electronic stability control, hill start assist, and a comprehensive six-airbag system. For long highway journeys, the integrated trailer sway control and trailer light check system provide peace of mind when hauling large loads. The high seating position and large towing mirrors offer excellent visibility, while the rear-view camera ensures safe maneuvering in tight city spaces.

The bottom line

This 2024 RAM 2500 Bighorn is the ideal choice for a GCC buyer who needs maximum towing capability and low mileage without sacrificing daily cabin comfort. It represents a versatile, high-spec alternative to a brand-new purchase, ready for immediate heavy-duty use.
