Summary

This 2024 Land Cruiser VXR offers a rare opportunity to own the range-topping flagship of the LC300 series with the highly desirable 3.5L twin-turbocharged powertrain. In the GCC, the VXR trim is the ultimate statement of prestige, combining legendary desert capability with executive-level cabin refinement. Its white exterior is the most sought-after color in the region, ensuring maximum heat reflection and the strongest possible resale value. Whether you are navigating city traffic in Riyadh or crossing the dunes of the Liwa Desert, this vehicle provides an unmatched balance of power and durability. For a buyer looking for a modern icon that holds its value like no other, this VXR is the definitive choice.

This Car vs Other 2024 Land Cruisers

With 65,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven more than the typical 20,000 km annual average for the UAE, yet it remains in peak mechanical condition. In the GCC market, high-mileage Land Cruisers are often preferred over lower-mileage imports because they demonstrate proven reliability in local heat and high-speed highway conditions. The white exterior is a strategic advantage here, consistently fetching a premium at resale compared to darker tones.

VXR vs Lower Trims

The VXR trim adds a layer of sophistication that lower trims like the GXR or EXR cannot match, specifically featuring the premium JBL 14-speaker audio system and a larger 12.3-inch high-definition infotainment screen. Critical for the GCC climate, the VXR includes four-zone climate control and ventilated seats for both front and second-row passengers. It also upgrades the driving experience with an Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) system that provides superior comfort on both tarmac and sand.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

The Land Cruiser LC300 leads rivals like the Nissan Patrol and Chevrolet Tahoe with its advanced TNGA-F platform, which offers a more rigid yet lighter frame for better handling. Its 3.5L twin-turbo V6 delivers 409 hp, providing a more responsive torque curve for highway overtaking than the naturally aspirated engines found in many competitors. Furthermore, the Land Cruiser’s legendary 110-litre dual-tank capacity ensures significantly better range for cross-border GCC road trips.

Running Costs & Resale

The Land Cruiser remains the undisputed king of resale value in the GCC, typically losing only 8–10% of its value annually compared to 15% or more for European luxury SUVs. Maintenance is highly accessible with the most extensive authorized service network in the region, including Al-Futtaim in the UAE and Abdul Latif Jameel in Saudi Arabia. Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.5L twin-turbo averages around 9.3 km/L, which is efficient for a full-size SUV in stop-start city traffic.

Performance & Capability

The 409 hp twin-turbocharged engine allows this 7-seater to reach 100 km/h in approximately 6.7 seconds, a remarkable feat for a vehicle of this size. It features a sophisticated All-Wheel Drive system with a low-range transfer case and a center locking differential for serious off-road recovery. The Multi-Terrain Select system automatically adjusts engine and brake parameters, making it effortless to transition from highway cruising to deep sand driving.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of luxury, featuring premium leather upholstery and a cool box integrated into the center console to keep drinks chilled during the summer. Passengers enjoy a genuinely usable third row and dedicated AC vents for all seven seats, ensuring rapid cooling even when temperatures exceed 45°C. Quietness is prioritized through acoustic glass and enhanced insulation, making long-distance drives across the Emirates exceptionally relaxed.

Safety

The 2024 VXR comes standard with the full Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite, featuring Pre-Collision System with pedestrian detection and Lane Departure Alert. For GCC highways, the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Blind Spot Monitor are essential for safe, high-speed travel. A 360-degree Panoramic View Monitor with an under-floor view provides full visibility when navigating tight parking spaces or technical off-road obstacles.

The bottom line

This 2024 VXR is perfect for the executive family that demands the highest specification and the peace of mind that comes with the GCC’s most reliable automotive investment.
