Summary

This 2025 BMW 740i represents the current pinnacle of executive transport, offering a near-new ownership experience without the immediate showroom depreciation. As a GCC-spec model finished in black, it occupies the most desirable intersection of regional suitability and resale strength. The mild-hybrid powertrain provides a sophisticated balance of immediate torque for city traffic and impressive efficiency for cross-emirate highway cruises. Compared to its peers, the 7 Series offers a more tech-focused, futuristic cabin environment that feels significantly ahead of the traditional luxury curve. For a buyer in the UAE, this is a strategic acquisition that secures BMW's flagship status with all regional warranty and service benefits intact.

This Car vs Other 2025 740is

With minimal usage recorded since its release, this 740i sits well below the typical 25,000 km annual average for luxury sedans in the GCC. The black-on-black configuration is a high-demand choice in the local market, ensuring it maintains a value premium over less conventional palettes. Being a 2025 model, it benefits from the latest iDrive 8.5 software refinements that resolved early-run teething issues.

EXCLUSIVE PURE EXCELLENCE vs Lower Trims

The Exclusive Pure Excellence package elevates the 740i with sophisticated chrome exterior highlights and a more refined interior atmosphere compared to the base M-Sport alternatives. It prioritizes luxury over aggression, adding standard ventilated front seats and the BMW Curved Display with extended functions essential for the GCC summer. You also gain a higher grade of leather upholstery and more intricate wood trim finishes that define the flagship experience.

740i vs Segment Rivals

Against the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Audi A8, the 740i leads in digital integration and standard rear-seat tech. Its 540-litre boot is notably more generous than several competitors, making it a more practical choice for airport runs or weekend travel between Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The BMW's mild-hybrid system is also more seamlessly integrated than the Audi equivalent, providing smoother stop-start transitions in heavy traffic.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.0L mild-hybrid powertrain is surprisingly efficient for a vehicle of this scale, averaging approximately 7.9L/100km on long highway stretches across the region. BMW's authorized service network is extensive across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts and expert technicians are never far away. While European luxury sedans typically see 15% annual depreciation, the 7 Series holds its value well in the GCC, particularly when maintained at official service centers.

Performance & Capability

Despite its executive dimensions, the 740i reaches 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on fast-moving highways like the E11. The 375 hp output is managed by a refined 8-speed automatic that remains virtually imperceptible during city driving. Standard adaptive air suspension ensures a magic-carpet ride quality, automatically adjusting to remain composed even when cross-winds affect high-speed stability.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the GCC heat, featuring a powerful four-zone climate control system and acoustic glass that silences desert wind noise. The 14.9-inch central touchscreen and 12.3-inch digital cluster are housed in a single curved glass unit, creating a cinema-like interface. Rear passengers enjoy generous legroom and dedicated cooling vents, making this an ideal choice for both self-driving owners and those who prefer to be chauffeured.

Safety

This 740i is equipped with BMW's full ADAS suite, including Active Blind Spot Detection and Frontal Collision Warning, which are vital for the multi-lane highway environments of Dubai and Riyadh. The 360° camera system with 3D view makes maneuvering this large sedan into tight mall parking spaces effortless. It also features Lane Departure Warning and a sophisticated automated parking assistant as standard.

The bottom line

For the executive who demands the latest technology and a commanding road presence, this low-mileage 2025 GCC-spec 740i is the most logical and prestigious choice available in today's market.
