• 195 kW peak DC charging
• 0–100 km/h in 4.6 seconds

Summary

This 2025 iX xDrive50 represents a prime opportunity for GCC buyers looking to skip the waitlist for a near-new electric flagship. With only 500 km on the odometer and just one year of age, it offers a significant advantage over high-mileage examples in the regional market. The M Sport Package and Masterclass trim add high-value features like the Sky Lounge panoramic roof and premium acoustics that resonate well at resale. In the local market, the black exterior remains a top-tier choice for retaining value and executive appeal. For the GCC owner, this model provides the range necessary for comfortable inter-emirate travel without the frequent charging stops required by smaller-battery rivals.

This Car vs Other 2025 iXs

With just 500 km, this vehicle is significantly below the average annual GCC mileage of 20,000 km, effectively offering a showroom-fresh experience. While many 2025 models are just entering the secondary market with higher road use, this example preserves its battery health and interior condition perfectly. The black exterior is one of the strongest resale colors in the region, ensuring better long-term value retention compared to experimental launch colors.

XDRIVE50 MASTERCLASS M SPORT PACKAGE vs Lower Trims

The Masterclass M Sport Package significantly elevates the iX over the standard xDrive40 by adding the larger 111.5 kWh battery and more powerful dual-motor setup. This trim includes the Sky Lounge panoramic roof with liquid crystal shading and the high-performance M Sport braking system as standard. GCC buyers specifically benefit from the upgraded 4-zone climate control and ventilated seating, which are often optional on lower specifications.

iX vs Segment Rivals

The iX leads rivals like the Audi Q8 e-tron and Jaguar I-Pace with its superior WLTP range and faster 195 kW charging capability, which are critical for the long highway stretches between GCC cities. Its dedicated EV platform provides more rear legroom than the electric variants of the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV, making it a better choice for family logistics. The BMW iDrive 8.5 system also offers more seamless local navigation and charging station integration than most competitors in the segment.

Running Costs & Resale

Fueling costs are remarkably low compared to petrol V8 SUVs, with the UAE's expanding DEWA and private charging networks providing affordable energy. Service intervals are typically every two years, focusing on cabin filters and brake fluid rather than costly mechanical engine maintenance. While luxury EVs experience higher initial depreciation than Japanese petrol SUVs, the GCC-spec status and low mileage of this iX provide a much stronger price floor at the three-year mark.

Performance & Capability

The 516 hp dual-motor system delivers 0–100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on fast-moving highways like the E11. Standard all-wheel drive ensures maximum traction on sandy road shoulders and during the rare regional rainstorms. The 195 kW DC fast-charging allows for adding up to 150 km of range in just 10 minutes at compatible high-speed stations.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of GCC-focused luxury, featuring a thermally insulated windshield and 4-zone automatic climate control that handles extreme summer heat with ease. The Sky Lounge panoramic glass roof can transition from transparent to opaque at the touch of a button, protecting passengers from intense midday sun. Acoustic glazing ensures a whisper-quiet ride even at high highway speeds, isolating the cabin from road and wind noise.

Safety

This trim features a comprehensive ADAS suite including Active Blind Spot Detection and Frontal Collision Warning, which are essential for navigating dense multi-lane traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. The 360-degree Parking Assistant Plus makes maneuvering this large SUV into tight urban spaces effortless. Standard BMW Laserlights provide exceptional visibility on unlit desert highway stretches, far surpassing traditional LED systems.

The bottom line

For the executive buyer who wants the latest BMW technology without the new-car waiting period, this ultra-low-mileage iX is the smartest way to enter the luxury EV segment in the GCC.
