Summary

This 2025 Changan CS75 Plus Sport represents the flagship of the brand's crossover lineup, offering a significant performance jump over the standard 1.5L variants common in the market. The Sport trim is highly desirable in the GCC for its Aisin 8-speed automatic transmission and aggressive aesthetic, which helps maintain stronger resale appeal compared to base models. In the UAE and wider region, the white exterior is the optimal choice for heat management and future liquidity in the used market. This SUV stands out by offering luxury-tier cabin technology and a robust 233 hp powertrain that rivals high-end European crossovers at a more accessible price point. For a buyer seeking a modern, tech-heavy family vehicle with genuine highway overtaking power, this latest-generation model is a compelling choice.

This Car vs Other 2025 CS75 Pluss

While many 2025 models in the market are equipped with the 1.5L engine, this specific unit features the high-output 2.0L turbocharged powertrain preferred for GCC highway driving. The white exterior is the most popular and practical color for the region, ensuring maximum heat reflection and a faster turnaround at resale. As a current model-year vehicle, it benefits from the latest fourth-generation styling and the most advanced interior software available.

SPORT vs Lower Trims

The Sport trim elevates the driving experience with the Aisin 8-speed automatic transmission, replacing the dual-clutch units found in entry-level trims for smoother power delivery in stop-and-start traffic. It adds essential GCC comforts such as ventilated front seats and a 360-degree panoramic camera system that simplifies parking in tight urban spaces. Buyers also benefit from a comprehensive ADAS safety suite and a premium Pioneer audio system not found on the Smart or Limited trims.

CS75 Plus vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Toyota RAV4 and Haval H6, the CS75 Plus Sport leads in cabin technology with its futuristic triple-screen dashboard layout that provides over 37 inches of display area. It offers a more powerful 2.0T engine as standard in this trim, providing better high-speed stability and overtaking confidence on the E11 than the naturally aspirated engines of its Japanese rivals. The Changan also provides superior interior material quality, using extensive soft-touch surfaces and acoustic glass for a quieter ride.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.0T engine averages approximately 8.1 L/100km on the highway, though this can rise in dense city traffic when the dual-zone climate control is at full capacity. Changan has established a robust authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, with recommended service intervals typically occurring every 10,000 km. While Chinese brands face steeper initial depreciation than Japanese mainstays, the Sport trim with the 2.0L engine holds its value significantly better than base models due to higher demand in the secondary market.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0L Blue Whale engine delivers a verified 233 hp and 390 Nm of torque, enabling a swift 0-100 km/h sprint in just 7.3 seconds. This power is managed through a front-wheel-drive system and an 8-speed automatic gearbox that is tuned for smooth shifts during long-distance travel between Emirates. Multiple drive modes, including a dedicated Sport setting, allow the driver to sharpen throttle response for more engaging dynamics on open roads.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a tech-forward environment featuring a panoramic sunroof that brightens the spacious 5-seat layout. Specifically for the GCC climate, the Sport trim includes ventilated front seats and a powerful dual-zone air conditioning system with dedicated rear vents to ensure all passengers remain cool during peak summer. The rear cargo area is generous, offering 620 liters of space that can expand to over 1,400 liters with the flat-folding rear seats, making it highly practical for family weekend trips.

Safety

Safety is a primary focus with a full suite of active systems including Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, and Blind Spot Monitoring, which are vital for safety on fast-moving GCC highways. The vehicle is equipped with six airbags and a high-strength steel cage construction for maximum occupant protection. The 360-degree camera system provides a bird's-eye view, significantly reducing the risk of low-speed collisions during parking.

The bottom line

This 2025 Changan CS75 Plus Sport is the ideal match for a tech-savvy family looking for premium performance and features without the luxury-brand price tag. As the highest trim with the most desirable engine and color for the GCC, it represents an excellent opportunity to own a nearly-new flagship SUV with a full manufacturer warranty still in place.
