Summary

This 2026 Changan X5 Plus Beyond Pro is a rare opportunity to own a current-model-year compact SUV with delivery mileage, avoiding the steep initial depreciation typically seen in the GCC market. The Grey exterior is a highly practical choice for the region, offering better heat reflection and dust masking than darker tones, which helps maintain its aesthetic and resale value. As the Beyond Pro trim, it delivers a high-tech cabin and advanced driver aids that bridge the gap between budget crossovers and premium European rivals. For a GCC buyer, this represents a blend of punchy performance for highway merging and an efficient Blue Whale powertrain suited for daily city commuting. This listing stands out as a 'near-new' alternative with significant feature upgrades over the base models.

This Car vs Other 2026 X5 Pluses

With just 100 km on the odometer, this vehicle is essentially in showroom condition, offering a significant advantage over the typical 20,000 km annual use found in the GCC market. The Grey finish is one of the most resilient colors for local conditions, resisting the visible impact of desert dust better than white or black. Choosing this near-delivery mileage example allows a buyer to secure a current-year model with a full lifecycle ahead of it.

BEYOND PRO vs Lower Trims

The Beyond Pro trim significantly upgrades the ownership experience over the base models by adding the L2-level intelligent driving suite and a triple-digital screen cockpit. It includes the critical 540° transparent chassis camera, which is invaluable for navigating tight parking spots in busy UAE urban centers. Interior comfort is also elevated with perforated faux leather sports seats and a panoramic sunroof, features that are highly sought after by GCC buyers.

X5 Plus vs Segment Rivals

The X5 Plus competes directly with the Geely Coolray and Haval H6, leading the segment with a 0-100 km/h time of 7.51 seconds that beats most 1.5T rivals. Its 2715mm wheelbase provides superior rear legroom compared to more compact crossovers, making it a more viable choice for small families. The inclusion of a 'wet' dual-clutch transmission is a major advantage in the GCC, as it handles the extreme summer heat and stop-start traffic more reliably than the 'dry' systems found in some competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel efficiency is strong, with a WLTC combined rating of 6.95 L/100km, keeping running costs low for long-distance driving between emirates. Changan has established a robust authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with standard maintenance intervals recommended every 10,000 km. While Chinese brands generally face higher initial depreciation, the X5 Plus's growing popularity and high spec level help it retain roughly 55-60% of its value after three years in the GCC market.

Performance & Capability

Powered by the Blue Whale 1.5T engine, the X5 Plus delivers a surprising 192 hp and 310 Nm of torque, ensuring confident overtaking on fast-moving highways like Sheikh Zayed Road. The 7-speed wet DCT is specifically tuned for smooth power delivery, reaching a top speed of 205 km/h where conditions permit. While primarily a road-biased SUV, the independent multi-link rear suspension provides a more composed ride over uneven suburban surfaces than the torsion beam setups common in this price bracket.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is centered around a massive triple-screen digital interaction system, creating a futuristic environment for the driver. Dual-zone automatic climate control with rear AC vents is standard, ensuring all five passengers stay cool during the peak GCC summer months. The interior features premium soft-touch materials and red-stitched sports seats that provide excellent lateral support for long highway stints.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive, featuring a full ADAS suite including Adaptive Cruise Control and Active Anti-collision Braking, which are essential for long desert highway drives. The 540° camera system provides a 'see-through' view of the ground beneath the car, protecting the 18-inch alloy wheels from curb damage. It is equipped with front and side curtain airbags, electronic stability control, and a high-strength steel frame for maximum passenger protection.

The bottom line

This is a smart buy for a tech-focused professional or small family looking for a 2026 model SUV with delivery mileage and a high-spec interior at a Chinese-spec value premium.
